Chapter 4

Fury explained the situations to Savannah from when he first realized something was wrong with Project Insight, all the way until now.

At the moment, Savannah was currently trying to hack into SHIELDS files and figure out how the operation went corrupt.

"I don't understand, how was Alexander Pierce able to make all of this happen on his own?" Savannah asked as she tried to puzzle everything together.

"He had the help of Rumlow and a couple other field agents. They all coordinate there plans with HYDRA" Agent Hill told her as she looked through more files.

More and more answers were coming through until she found a link.

"Well I guess that would all make sense. Pierce being the secretary and Rumlow being the top field agent." Savannah admitted before clicking on the link.

It was a video.

A video of Savannah Hemming struggling on a table she was strapped on.

A man had a syringe and injected some sort of serum inside of her making Savannah shiver as she watched herself scream.

"Is that you?" Hill asked as Savannah continued to watch with wide eyes.

She didn't remember that. She didn't have a twin or any distant relative that looked like her so that wasn't possible.

He continued to prep her until Savannah eventually passed out from the pain. "We shall see the results in time, if all goes well we won't have to put her under" the man announced.

Savannah remembered that, his words. Put her under. It was the machine they had used on her. To brainwash her.

Without hesitation she closed the computer. Her hand slightly trembling as she kept it on the surface of the table.

"You never said you were experimented on" Hill asked.

"I didn't know" she whispered. "I don't remember any of that." Savannah breathed as Hill gave her a concerned glance.

"Agent Hill, Hemming, I need you two to do a quick pickup" Fury said alarming Savannah and bringing her out of her shocked state.

"You want us to be taxi drivers" Hill asked taking the words right out of Savannah's mouth.

"Yes, Agent Hill. Is there a problem" Fury asked sternly making Savannah grin. This was how Savannah and Nick were so similar, both had a jokingly stern side.

"No, sir" Hill replied as she loaded her gun.

"Who are we picking up" Savannah asked as she stood taking a breath and placing a nice in her boot pocket.

"Captain Rodgers and Agent Romanoff" Fury stated casually making Savannah pause.

"I told you I didn't want to see him yet" Savannah scowled.

"Yes well, I need you to do this for me. Do you see any other top level operatives running around here?" Fury asked.

"Fury, if this is your way of trying to get me to talk to him-"

"No agent Hemming, I'm just in a need of security to get my agents out of this situation. Now get off your ass and go with Agent Hill" Fury commanded sharply.

Savannah didn't argue further, she knew what he was doing by putting her out to her Steve. But the thought of seeing her old best friend again made her nervous.

Savannah and Agent Hill walked with a pace out the gate and into the car waiting for their arrival.

"You take the wheel, I'll take the backseat. There's a suit in the front for you" Agent Hill informed Savannah as they hopped into the vehicle.
