Miss Fontaine,
We regret to inform you that your mother, Adele Bernard-Fontaine, has passed away on 13 July, 1981. While the medical examiners at the French Ministry haven't finished the autopsies required of such a high-level official, we are almost certain her death was due to natural causes.
Andre Fontaine has extended the invitation to the country-wide funeral to his only child, you. The funeral will be held on 20 July, at two p.m. at the Minister for Magic's home in Paris.
