Callie opened the door carefully, while trying to peek through the cracks.

Wala si Ales sa sala.

Nakaligo na rin siya at suot niya na ngayon ang kanyang uniform--- even if it's just six in the morning yet. This is unusually early for her, and a much rather inconvinience since walking distance lang naman ang bahay niya at ang eskwelahan.

Ngunit sinadya niya talaga 'to, dahil hindi niya alam kung may dapat ba siyang iwasan ngayong umaga. Not seeing his figure at the sala, lumabas siya ng kwarto at naglakad papuntang kusina.

There, she found him at the kitchen, busy, chopping something at the sink. Kunot ang noo siyang naglakad ng tahimik palapit sa lalaki, and now that she stood beside her, she watches him chopping ingredients at the chopping board.

She formed her mouth open in slight surprise.

"Oh, good morning." nakangiti nitong bati. Isang napakagandang bungad sa umaga. How could she be lucky being greeted by his face every morning?

Whilst holding a knife on his other hand, inilapit niya ang mukha kay Callie at hinalikan ito sa pisngi. "You smell divine." he smirks after he let go.

She pursed her lips. "Luh bolero ka. Chipipay na sabon lang naman ang ginagamit ko, di naman mamahalin." still, she could not help but smile.

Kumindat lamang ang lalaki ng nakangiti saka pinagpatuloy ang ginagawa. "Your breakfast is ready, you should eat now. I'll be done packing our lunch in a minute."

Our? "Natin?" bahagyang gulat niyang tanong.

"Yes, mademoiselle. I should watch you eat to make sure that you finish what I've prepared for you." anito, like a goddamn parent. Again. There he goes.

Halos mapairap ang babae sa pag-andar na naman nito ng pagiging bossy nito.

"Hindi kita nanay!" she annoyingly said. Pinalo lamang ni Ales ang pwet niya ng pabiro. "Stop fretting like a kid, then." anito lamang at tinuro ang direksyon ng mesang may nakahaing mga pagkain. Walang nagawang napasunod si Callie.

There was a long silence inside the car while Valdemar drives and his bratty cousin, Luna Zhang is beside him, crossing her arms, looking away.

For the first time, it feels like Luna is trying to turn away, na parang may iniiwasan kay Valdemar.

Until Valdemar remembered the last time they faced. It was a confrontation with Jourdan. He is betting she is still awkward about it. After all, how could a college teen not be surprised after finding out his ex as a nun, right?

He secretly hissed.

"Are you really over? With the nun?" she suddenly asked, from a very long hesitation. From her tone, hindi pa halatang nag alangan ito ha.

Igting ang panga, he couldn't say otherwise because what's the point? This kid is nosy, basa pa ang bibig. She better stay on her lane. "Of course, are you kidding?" iwas niya na lamang ang tinging sabi.

"Hmm." ismid na sagot na lamang ni Luna, habang akap ang nakabalot na dumplings. "Parang gusto ni kuya Tran eh."

Wala pang isang segundo at sumagot si Valdemar, suddenly alarmed and guarded. "Ano?"

"Ya, don't even play with me you can see it through him, pwede ba." she snapped rolling her eyes. "I just hope he wakes up because he's messing with a nun, for goodness' sake."

If you only know, Luna. Isip niya.

"You're both messing with a nun." she snaps as she corrects herself and glared at him. He scoffed in hilarity.
