Therese's POV
"Good Job Therese. You may now return. After things have settled, we will celebrate your acomplishment!" I smiled weakly. "No need for that sir." I left the room and immdiately headed towards my old department.
This was why I'm stronger than the rest. I wasn't just any Dimension Traveller. I was and still am an Elite Guardian. This was the answer I've been looking for. Grace wasn't my bestfriend too... Erise and Ken were.
I ran and ran... I passed by the warehouse I cried from before.
***Flashback***
"Bye Therese... Goodluck!" The same brunette gave me a weak smile. The red head patted my head. "See you soon." And with that I left. I felt a burning sensation in my chest. I don't know why... Maybe because there might be a chance that I won't be able to see them again. "Farewell... Erise and Ken."
I started to run. I felt bad for leaving them. How can I be like this? I didn't even say my goodbyes properly or should I say the way I actually wanted to. It was difficult for me since I wasn't the type of person that would cry in front of others. I actually wanted to give them a bone crushing hug and snuggle my head on their shoulders before leaving but I couldn't. What kind of friend am I?
I kept running and running. I did not look back to see who was calling my name. Though I knew who owned the voices. I just had the urge to run away.
My chest felt heavy with regret and worry. I kept my head low while speeding away from that place. My eye sight became blurry as tears streamed down from it. I had the feeling to not let anyone see me this way. To not let anyone see my weak side.
I ran behind an abandoned warehouse and energy within my body was flowing once again. I placed my hands in front of me, a glowing symbol appeared. Then instead of seeing another symbol beneath my feet, it was a feet away from my hands and it swirled into a pitch black hole and I jump right in it.
At that time, I didn't know what really was happening. But as soon as I left, I heard one of the dimension travellers saw me and reported me as a rebel for leaving the organization without furthur instructions. But I was given orders. They might have mistaken me for one of them since I wore the exact unform as theirs.
***End of Flashback***
I finally arrived at the dorm in which I previously lived in before I left and there I saw Erise and Ken waiting for me. I ran towards them and this time, I did what I wasn't able to do before. I hugged them tightly, they too did the same thing to me and we laughed. Then I started to cry... For the first time, I was able to cry in front of someone. Ken wiped my tears and said, "Welcome back, Therese." I can't help but giggle. "I'm back." Erise elbowed me and I realized I was only hugging Ken now. "Ehem." I huffed. "You ruined the moment! You have to pay for that!" I pulled her into to an embrace together with Ken. It has been long since we were able to do something like this. "Seems like my princess did miss us after all. So do you remember us?" I smacked Ken in the forehead and Erise laughed at him. "Of course I do. I wouldn't be doing this now if I didn't remember you."
Erise tackled me to the ground when I was spacing out. "Oi~" She called out. "Yesh?" I couldn't speak well because she pinched my cheeks. "I love you Therese." She grinned at me. "Hey Ken!" Ken walked over to us. "What?" I glanced at Erise then back to Ken. "Since when did my 'Rise become a lesbo? What did you do to her?!" Erise jumped on my stomach. "Oof!" "You really are mean." Ken patted my head like he always does. "You two.. tsk.. Let me join the fun!" He grabbed Erise and I instantly rolled over and tried to drag Ken's leg but he was way heavier than I expected. "Hey Ken, was it you that came with me to the Northern Village?" He stopped tickling Erise. "When did you find out?" I gave him a tongue out. "Se-cret!" With that, I jumped on top of them and did my best to try and squish them. "Oh! I nearly forgot. Hey Erise." "Hai?" I stood up. "I love you too." Ken pretended to be hurt. "How about me?" I gave him a playful grin. "What about you?"
I was able to express myself better thanks to my friends. Amazing isn't it? How they make my world go round. I mean, can you believe it? I wasn't this expressive except when it comes to missions. Now I know how important it is to have them.
The day after, my whole room was a mess. It was worst than having an epic fail fireworks. But I always had my friends to count on. That's what friends are for. Don't you agree? *evilly grins* Just kidding.
