Chapter 12: Knocked Out

Therese's POV

  I didn't wait for Ciel's reply. I jumped out of the window right away and landed on a thick branch of a tree and swung my way down.

  I held my C.S. tight. It seems that I haven't met my opponent before. Do they also know me? I hope not.

  A red head girl with coffee brown eyes saw me going towards them. "Hey, is she the one we're looking for?" She asked the guy to her right. "No... I don't think so. How could this innocent looking maiden be our target?" I guess this guy is here to flirt.

  Wait... They must be from another department. I have to get rid of them. They will only hinder me from my mission.

  Playing a bit with them won't hurt right? Let's give it a try!They seem gullible to me. 

  I stopped in front of them. "Umm... Who are you looking for?" I pretended not to know. "Do you know Therese? Or did she happen to pass this dimension?" The red head asked me eagerly. "I'm sorry... but I think you missed her already. You see, I'm here to patrol this area in case she comes back here." The guy who I noticed has orange-like hair and lime green eyes went closer to me."NOW EMILY!" He yelled.

  Wha-what? It was a part of their plan?

  The guy held my wrist and the red head who I assume is 'Emily' took out two daggers and swung it at me. I bent down missing her daggers by an inch and twisted my wrist to get free from the hold of the guy.

  "Trance! You should've held her tightly! Don't underestimate her." Okay... Now I know both their names.

  I gripped my scythe, shortened it and strapped it back to my upper thigh and took out two daggers also. I lunged at Trance, who was now arguing with Emily. When .I was about to stab him in the back, a girl with light pink hair and lavender eyes tried to kick me but I backed away in time.

  "Don't you think this is unfar? 3-1? Seriously guys?" I said out oud.

  Trance turned around."There aren't any rules." I shrugged. "I guess so."

  "Lily! you weren't supposed to come out yet!" Emily exclaimed. "But Trance was about to get stabbed you idiot." "Oh."

  Lily took out a long metallic chain. She tried to hit me with it. While Emily made her way to the other side and Trance did the same thing. Trance unsheathed his sword. Emily, Trance and Lily were now attacking me all at once.

  "Great teamwork guys." I commented on their actions.

  When the  chain was about to hit my arm, I caught it and pulled it away from Lily. I whipped Emily and Trance with the chain and they stumbled back. I saw that Emily got unconscious.

  Maybe I exerted to much force.

  While Trance was recovering from the hit i gave him, I tied Emily to a nearby tree and made sure she won't be able to use her daggers. Next, I made my way to Trance and used the back of his sword to knock him out.

  Lily is the only one left.

  "Ho-how dare you!" She screamed at me with tears threatening to spill.

  I took step by step... Making my way to her, slowly. WIth every step I take, she took a step back. Until she tripped on a rock.

  "Goodnight Lily." And then I hit her on the neck and she too was out cold.

  I concentrated on my hand and imagined in my mind three portals. Slowly breathing in and out, I tried to control the portlas. I lifted my eyelids and saw that the three of them were already consumed by the portals.

  This is taking too much energy from me. I complained to myself.

  I imagined the portals closing using the symbol that appeared earlier in front of me. I slowly turned my hand, as if I was turing a doorknob and the portals' size decreased as I continued to turn my hand.

 I opened my eyes and everyhting is now fine.

  I don't feel good. My head is spinning once again. this happens every single time I get tired and then use the portal.

  I returned to her Majesty's manor wobbling.

  "Therese! Are you alright?" Queen Victoria asked me. "Yes, I am."

  I turned to see Ciel sitting on one of the chairs in the Queen's room. "You owe me an explanation." I sighed and started to speak up.

  "I am Therese from the Black and White Organization. Sorry but I'm too lazy to explain." I heard the Queen chuckle softly. "Your majesty, I have to leave." She gave me a warm smile. "Take care." I created a another portal effortlessly and without causing much mess in her Majesty's room. I don't know how but my mind is too lazy to think. "Wa-wait!" Ciel pleaded. I mouthed 'Sorry' and left.
