Therese's POV
I was falling into darkness. I can't see anything... I decided to close my eyes until I feel the impact of my fall.
I opened my eyes again and saw all the different symbols... I saw two symbols that caught my attention.
My eyes widened as I saw the glowing symbol that I used in my dream. I turned around and saw the bluish symbol that I mostly used.
I closed my eyes again... I could hear my heart beat. I breathed in and out.
When I opened my eyes for the second time, I wasn't falling into darkness... I saw it again... The time when the agents of BWO thought something went wrong. The time when I ran away. There's a reason for everything.
I jolted up, breathed heavily, and found myself in a bed... Wait what?
I had a cloth placed on my forehead.
"Oh... You're awake! That's great. How are you feeling?" I stared awkwardly at the woman who seems to be dressed elegantly. Am I in a... Noble's Manor?!
I opened my mouth to answer her but hesitated for a moment and looked down at the covers of the bed that wrapped my body and kept me warm.
"Uh.. I-I'm alright." I said clearly embarrassed from staring at her like that earlier.
She gave me a warm look that made me relax a bit.
"Some servants saw you, soaked wet, and hurt, and you were lying on the ground as if you were lifeless dear! I got worried and immediately brought you in here." I stared at her in confusion. After a few moments I contructed my sentence and said,"So that's how I got here?"
"My... What's wrong dear?" She asked me, concerned.
"I don't remember how I got here. Why was I soaked wet, hurt and lying on the floor?"
I can't remember anything. AT ALL.
"This is serious." She said biting her lips nervously. "What happened to you child? First of all... Can I ask for your name? Your parents must be worried sick."
"My...name?" I said still confused. I looked at her blankly.
"Yes, your name. We need to find and inform your parents."
"I can't recall what my name is." I said in disbelief. I mean like... I forgot my name! I felt a mix of worry, fear, and nervousness build up in my chest and tears were forming in my eyes.
The woman... Wait... Its kinda informal to refer to her as that. Maybe lady. Yeah, lady. That sounds better.
The lady enveloped me into a hug and I allowed tears to fall.
"There, there, now. Don't cry dear." She cooed me. "I'll take care of you."
I pulled away from the hug and replied in between my sniffles and sobs,"No... I will only be a burden to you. I'm sorry I... I..." I broke into tears again.
She hugged me again in a motherly way which calmed me down. "Its alright. Don't think of yourself as a burden. You can stay here with me for the time being." She comforted while placing some strands of my brown hair behind my ear.
I wiped my tears with the sleeve of the nightgown I now wore which has the color of lavender and its laces were a dark shade of purple. Its was pretty light and comfy.
