My eyes fluttered open and I glanced up at Logan, "Morning Muffin." he kissed my forehead and I hummed and cuddled closer to him. I love how calming and relaxing it is to just lay with him, to just forget about everything happening in my life and just be with him.
"We have school tomorrow." he muttered, playing with my hair.
I groaned, "Don't remind me." I'm not, in any way, looking forward to school, ugh.
"We have the ball this year." Logan rolled his eyes, I moved so I was leaning on my elbows and looked at him.
"You don't want to go?" I frowned.
"Not really." he shook his head.
"Oh," I looked down at my hands, so much for my perfect ball. I had this idea in my head that the ball this year would be perfect, that I would go with Logan and dance all night with him. But that's not going to happen. I sighed.
Logan must've noticed my sadden state as he lifted my chin with his thumb and forefinger. "But if you want to go, I'll be more than happy to go with you." he searched my eyes.
I lifted my right shoulder in a kind-of-shrug and looked down, "I don't want to make you do something you don't want too."
"I want to make you happy, and if going to the ball makes you happy, then I'll go with you." He placed a strand of my hair behind my ear. I gave him a small smile and nodded.
I lifted my hand and ran it through his soft curls. "Your hair has grown." I stated the obvious and moved to a sitting position.
"Oh really?" Logan raised an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and Logan pulled me onto his lap. I combed his hair back and made a little bun. I used my teeth to pull off a hair tie that was around my wrist and secured it around the little man bun I gave Logan. Once I was done, I sat back and grinned.
"You look so cute with a man bun." I grinned and pinched his cheeks.
Logan groaned. "Take it out, please." He squeezed my hips and I laughed.
"Nope, I like it." Logan let out a dramatic breathe.
"Fine." Logan's phone beeped and he grabbed it from the bedside table. "I got to go, Mom wants me to do chores." Logan rolled his eyes and started to get up. He caught a glance of himself in my mirror and smiled. "It actually does look good." he winked at me and I laughed.
"See?" I got up as well. "Don't forget to pick me up tomorrow." I reminded him.
"I won't, don't worry." he gripped my waist and gave me a sweet kiss. "See you tomorrow, Muffin."
I smiled and kissed him back. Once Logan had left my phone rang and I picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hi, it's Luke, can--" Luke cleared his throat, he sounded nervous. "Can I come over? I need to talk to you."
I frowned. "Of course you can, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah- I mean I don't know." He sighed. "I'll see you in a bit." he said and hung up.
I frowned and paced around my room, what is going on? Did something happen? I sighed, frustrated and walked to my bathroom. After cleaning myself up and changing out of my pyjamas, I started making myself some tea. I leaned against the counter waiting for the kettle to boil when the door bell rang.
I pulled open the door and Luke's worried face came into view. I ushered him inside and offered him tea which he accepted with a small smile. I handed him his tea and cupped my in both of my hands, taking a small sip. I leaned against the counter and placed my cup down.
"What did you want to tell me?" I asked and he fidgeted nervously.
"Um, can we sit down?" He avoided my eyes. I frowned, completely confused.
"Yeah, sure." We walked into the living room and sat on the couch, I placed my cup on the table and he did too. Luke placed his hands in his lap and fiddled with his fingers. His mouth opening and closing like he was trying to find the words to say. He finally looked up and his brown eyes were filled with uncertainty and fear.
"I don't know how to say this, or how to start." he sighed and looked down again. I grabbed his hands and squeezed them reassuringly.
"It's okay, take your time." I have him an encouraging smile. He seemed to relax a tiny bit.
"Okay, I uh," he let out a deep breathe, "I'm gay."
He looked up to see my reaction, his eyes searching mine.
"Okay," I said.
"Okay? That's all?" He frowned. I squeezed his hands again and he looked at me.
"Yes, that's all." I smiled at him. "You being gay doesn't make me think differently of you or anything, you're still the same Lukey."
Luke instantly relaxed and gave me a smile. He let out a breathe of relief and squeezed my hands.
"Come here," I motioned for him to come closer and wrapped my arms around his neck. He gave a short laugh and hugged me back. "you didn't need to be so worried." I pulled back and smiled.
"Yeah, I guess so." He returned my smile. He leaned over to the table and grabbed his tea, taking a sip. "This tea is really good." He winked.
I laughed, "It really is." I picked up my own cup and had a sip. "Have you told your parents?"
Luke lowered his cup and nodded, "Yeah, I told them this morning. My mom is fine but my dad, he hasn't looked at me all day." he sighed sadly.
I grabbed his free hand, "You dad will come around, it was probably just a shock. It'll be fine, Luke." I said, and I truly believed he would.
Luke nodded and smiled. "Thank you, Haydee." I smiled.
"You hungry?" I asked and he nodded. "I'll order pizza." Luke's eyes lit up and he grinned. I laughed and grabbed my phone, dialling the pizza place.
