3rd Person POV

"I wish people still talked like this," Remus declared pausing from his book, Pride and Prejudice.

"I could try if you'd like," Sirius suggested, moving his head from the crook of his boyfriend's neck to speak.

"You don't have to," the werewolf said, flattered enough that the boy would even consider it.

"It would be my honor," he pauses for a moment, looking into Remus' eyes as he thinks. "You know, I never really believed in love before you, to be completely honest I just thought that everyone was crazy. I also thought that if love were as special as everyone made it out to be, I wouldn't deserve it anyway, to give or receive it." Remus tried to cut him off, but he just squeezed the hand he was holding, gently, but enough to tell him it was alright.

Smiling slightly, he continues. "Then, when I realized I was in love with you, I never even considered the possibility of you reciprocating my feelings. I truly believed that I would spend the rest of my life as just your friend, but I was okay with that. Even though I knew that it never would have actually been enough I was fine with it, I would rather only have you as my friend then to never have you at all."

After a moment of deafening silence Sirius gives out an awkward laugh. "How was that?"

Instead of answering, Remus just grabs his face and kisses him. "Fantastic. Have I ever told you how much I love you?"

"Yeah, but I'd gladly hear it again." Remus laughs and goes back to cuddling his boyfriend.
