'Everybody, this event that had befallen us. It is all my fault for not noticing her...' I stammered. 'What I am saying is, I have disappointed Tempest for failing to protect you all. I like to withdraw from my position and am prepared to be exiled if you agree with this.'

'What the heck are you on about?!' Rimuru said he was pissed.

'Please!' I said, as I didn't raise from my bowing.

'Pardon me for saying this, but why are you blaming yourself for this, Nyx-sama? Souei had given us his play-by-play account on this incident. There's nothing that indicates that you were the one to blame for this. You were tailing Myulan for days and the people were assaulted just as things turned awry at your end,' said Benimaru.

'Still, I've hurt somebody, if not the city when I lost control of my emotion back then,' I insisted.

'It was scary, yes, but you had always scared us. The unleashed aura was intense but it didn't hurt us at all,' said Shuna.

'Stop being unreasonable you old man, I thought we've been through with this,' Rimuru complained. 'Sit down, or so help me, Kami, I will tie you down to this chair.'

'Now, I'm sure that we're all feeling anxious, so let us start the meeting,' Rimuru said after I reluctantly sat down on my chair. 'I'm sure you've already been informed by Rigurdo beforehand, but now we need to discuss how we're going to deal with those humans, as well as resurrecting those who died. With these two agendas in mind, there's one more thing I need to tell you. I will become a Demon Lord. That is all. Now, let us begin.'

'While I hate the knights from the Farmas Kingdom who killed Gobuzo,' Gobuta interrupted, 'people like Youmu and his men are the same students under Shishou and Nyx-sama, and are our comrade-ssu.'

'I agree with Gobuta. Cabal and his group came all the way here out of concern,' Riguru concurred. 'They are trustworthy friends. That is what I believe.'

'The people who first offered their help were Myormiles-dono and the human adventurer. We call them "Humans", but we shouldn't lump them all together. There are those who we can call our allies, and those who are not,' Rigurdo voiced, the room became animated with their debate.

'Hey, guys,' Rimuru said to break their arguments. 'I was once originally human in my previous life. I suppose you can consider me as one of the world travelers.
