Chapter Twelve

The conference was going to be held in a few hours. Rimuru was going through the intels that Souei's department had procured for us. I was tasked to prepare the temporary living accommodations for Veldora. Luckily, my living quarters had a few rooms to spare.

'From living on the run into living in a huge house,' Veldora said as he took a sip from the cup of tea that I served.

'Yeah, you don't have to tell me. But the reason that the building is built the way it is was to accommodate my size if I accidentally lose control. Which was mostly why I usually took my nap here instead of in the room,' I explained.

'Hmm, you two took very good care of each other,' Veldora commented.

'Yeah, I don't want to disappoint another brother ever again,' I solemnly said before I heard the hooves of a group of horses, signaling the presence of a group of armed men riding towards the city. 'We got company, you make yourself comfortable, okay?'

'Sure!' Veldora exclaimed as I leaped to the village entrance using my "Spatial Magic". It was only Fuze and along with him were 50 other adventurers, fully armed for a battle.

'Oh, I don't even want to deal with the voice of the world that I heard a few hours back. Long time no see, Rimuru-dono, Nyx-dono. Right now I am glad that you are on our side,' said the Guild Master. 'It will take some time for the main force to arrive. I did what little I can to help. I've brought only the ones who can move ahead.'

'Fuze-kun? What the heck is going on today?' Rimuru wondered.

'We've come running here in accordance to the Blumund-Tempest Security Treaty. Count us among your ranks in the fight against Farmas,' Fuze stated.

'Ah, it's already done and dusted a few days ago?' I said and the look of shock on his face was monumental. I wish I could take a picture of that.

'What's that supposed to mean?! According to Myormiles' group, hasn't it been less than two weeks since Farmas declared war?' Fuze exploded.

'Milords, we sent a messenger, but...' Rigurdo whispered to us. 'It seems like they have missed each other.'

'Somebody else coming? This sound, it's the Pegasi Knights,' I stated as I look to the sky.

'I've heard your ascension, Nyx-dono. I dare not to anger you with my words but what the hell is going on?' King Gazelle himself was among the knights. He immediately kneeled in front of me respectfully as soon after he landed.

'Well, various things happened,' Rimuru explained. 'I will discuss what to do now with the executives in the strategy meeting.'

'Hmm, in that case, I shall take part as well,' King Gazelle said as he stood up from kneeling 'I knew you would be up to something but I wasn't expecting you to become Demon Lord and the Second Consul's ascension was another surprise that potentially could shake the world.'

'Wait, don't tell me that every corner of the world heard that?' I worriedly said.

'It is, Nyx-Dono,' King Gazelle said.

'Oi, the heck do you mean by that? Demon Lord? How could I ever stand for this?' Fuze muttered, shaking to his bone.

'If you need to pee, head that way,' Rimuru gestured to a nearby public restroom.

'I don't want to know where the bathroom is!!!' Fuze exploded again. Poor man, I hope his heart doesn't give way on this. 'Rimuru-dono, Nyx-dono, please answer me seriously. What do you mean by Rimuru-dono becoming a Demon Lord? Why did Nyx-dono ascend into godhood? Does the war with the Farmas army already being over have any relation to that?'
