The department heads were quickly gathered for an emergency meeting. We were to discuss the current threat. The Calamity Class Monster, Charybdis sudden revival, and it was heading here.

'You mean that "Ruler of The Skies" has revived?!' Rigurdo exploded.

'That beast was sealed in the distant past,' said Hakurou. 'I can't imagine the seal broke for no reason.'

'Somebody must have poked the hornet's nest,' I grumbled. This time, the monster would be quite a handful. Taking a look inside the encyclopedia I wrote, there wasn't much data about this monster. Only through common consensus that I know that it possessed a unique skill called Magic Jamming which reduces the density of atmospheric magical density that results in our power becoming less powerful than normal and quite literally jams our magic.

'My elder sister is restraining it as of now, but she won't hold out for long,' Toraia explained.

'Tell her to fall back, we'll take it from here,' I seriously said. 'I guess, I have to get serious on this.'

'You would?' Rimuru questioned.

'Yeah, I have to. You'll understand why,' I replied.

'Legend tells that it obeys a being of the spirit world,' a goblin minister said.

'I've also heard that it's immune to magical attacks,' said another goblin minister. 'Perhaps this is another effect of Veldora-sama's disappearance.'

'Enough of this,' I said to dismiss these unnecessary rumours 'We shouldn't speculate on mere rumours right now. What's important is the safety of our people.'

'If Nyx-sama took the lead on this, the city would be safe, right?' Benimaru reasoned and I shrugged my shoulder at that.

'It can't hurt to be prepared for any contingency,' I returned. Thus, we set forth to subjugate the threat that was heading here. Rimuru took it upon himself to warn the citizen about this and the war party that was hurriedly prepared for this mission. I stood next to Fuze, waiting for Rimuru to finish addressing the citizen.

'Bester, please contact King Gazelle,' Rimuru said as he was brought down from the stage by Shuna. I didn't notice that that man was behind me as I was thinking of a few strategies to defeat this monster. I didn't have the chance to fight it myself before, luckily I remembered to write down most of the news I heard about Charybdis when it appeared last time.

'Yes, sir. Leave it to me,' Bester answered before he dashed towards his lab to contact his king.

'I'm sorry that you have to cut your break short, Nyx wanted us to prepare for any unforeseen incidents. But I was hoping Fuze would take cover with the rest,' Rimuru said to the man.

'Why do you not run?' Fuze demanded. 'Charybdis is a Calamity Class monster but in reality, it's no weaker than a disaster class. The only reason it's not a Demon Lord is its inability to rational thought. Do you mean to take on a Demon Lord?'

'I've already ordered the rest to flee in case of our loss. But that doesn't mean we'll go down without a fight. Well, in the slim chance that does happen, see if I can obtain Brumund Citizenship, okay?' Rimuru joked, earning a shocked look from Fuze.

'I see, you are the master of this city after all,' Fuze despondently said.

'That's right and if my opponent rivals the power of a Demon Lord, it's all the more reason for me to fight,' said Rimuru.

'And why is that?' Fuze wondered.

'I came from where Shizu did and I will carry out her will,' said Rimuru as he assumed his human form. I joined his drift by changing into my combat outfit.
