The threat of the Orc Lord had passed. Rimuru came out victorious. He summoned the Oni and me to talk soon just before the conference had begun.

'Our promises have been fulfilled, thank you for all of your efforts until now,' Rimuru began after he looked at each of us. 'So, what do you all plan to do after this?'

'Rimuru-sama, we would like to continue to serve under you,' Benimaru declared after he kneeled before him along with the rest of the oni that was present.

'Very well, if you insist, I shall give you proper roles if you want it so much,' said Rimuru. 'Benimaru, in charge of our military might, you're our Samurai General.'

'But, Rimuru-sama!' Shion looked like she was about to cry. The swordsman in her was no doubt screaming frantically.

'Yes, yes, I know, Shion will be our Samurai along with Hakurou but since he is our teacher, so he will be the Grandmaster. Souei will be in charge of espionage, a Shinobi. Shuna-chan will be our Shrine Maiden while Kurobee will be working along with Kaijin as the Blacksmith,' he said. 'Now, Nyx, you've mentioned that you will leave us after the Orc Lord business has ended, why are you still here?'

'Huh? Eh? What? I'm just loitering around?' I stammered. I barely even remembered that I mentioned that. Perhaps I had said it in passing.

'Well, we can't have you do that. Regarding the favour I asked, will you do it? Teaching goblin riders? I hope that someday there will be a time when our village will have a place for monsters to come and learn about their ability as well as learn new ones. Since you have an eye for this, would you be our teacher too? In charge of the education as well as the second commander of this village?' Rimuru elaborated.

'That's quite a lot of questions, are you sure that you want a monster even among the monsters lurking around teaching kids how to kill or worse, torture someone?' I challenge with a dark expression.

'Why not?' he immediately answered. 'Souei's would benefit so much from that. Gobuta and the rest will be properly brought up as warriors. I know deep down that you want to stay but you're afraid of disappointing us. I desire your knowledge and wisdom, would you please give us a try?'

'Oh, come on, don't say it that way,' I grumbled before I hastily stammered again. 'Ah, fine, whatever. I'll do it, Head of Education or whatever. Shiro kid,  you're working with me!'

'Oho! Nothing brings me more pleasure than to serve under the legendary wandering bard's guidance,' said Hakurou.

'You damn wise...' I gritted.

'It's decided now, take good care of us!' Rimuru loudly declared.

We gathered at the designated meeting place the day after the extermination of the Orc Disaster. A temporary tent was erected and the representative of every race had gathered around the improvised seatings. From Rimuru's side, there were Benimaru, Shion, Hakurou, and Souei as well as the slime himself. He was sitting on Shion's lap in his slime form. From the Lizardmen; the chieftain, the guard captain, and her vice-captain. The Orcs sent the only remaining Orc General and ten other clan representatives. I could smell the depression in the surrounding orcs. Or was it fear? Some of them were those that survived my skill, the Fallen's Haki. Treyni took it upon herself to lean and placed her head on my lap as she demanded me to brush her hair. This girl was the most attached one out of the three.

'Oi, we're starting, get up,' I urgently warned her, she stood up from my lap and pouted at me for saying that. 'You are hundreds of years old. Would you grow up already?'

'Ahem, right. Let's begin the conference,' Rimuru began. 'This is my first time doing this kind of conference so I might not be the best chairman. So I'll just say the things that come to mind. Then, I want all of us to consider it together.'
