~Jopper one shots~

I Love You!

Nobody dies. The cabin is destroyed. El has her powers. Hop just threw the Russian who had been chasing us for the past week into the machine next to him. All of a sudden bursts of white electric were coming out of the machine. I motioned for Hopper to get over to me but he just stood still. My hands were on the keys i was ready to turn them but i couldn't let him go. He looked back over at me and nodded while smiling. I wasn't ready for him to die too. I nodded back at him and closed my eyes ready to turn the keys. Then i did the thing i thought i would never be able to do. I mouthed "i love you" and turned the keys. 

Lights were flashing everywhere i couldn't even open my eyes. A few minutes later it was still and partially quiet. I opened my eyes to see an empty platform he wasn't there. I ran out of the room and onto the platform where Hop was just stood. He was gone. I lost him again. What was i going to tell El? The poor girl has been through enough. I burst out crying. Another man i love has left me. Love? That's right the man i have grown to love Cheif Jim Hopper has sacrificed himself for everyone else. 

I was still crying but i felf someone spin me around and say "Jim, where's Jim?" it was Murray. I didn't answer but i assume he knew the answer from the tears rolling down my face. "i'm right here" said a familiar voice. I turned around to see Hopper climbing up the ladder next to the machine. Once he reached the top i just stood still in utter shock for a moment, we were staring at each other. Then before anyone could say anything Russians!

"sorry lovebirds hate to ruin the moment but unless you want to die i suggest we run now!" Murray shouted leading the way to the escape room. We escaped with no one managing to see us but i was still crying because of the shock. We reached the outside of the now burning starcourt mall to see our children getting taken care of by paramedics. Will and Jonathan ran over and hugged me and El hugged Hop. Me and Hop were hurt too so we walked over to the paramedics to get examined. 

Me and Hop were left alone in the back of an ambulance in total silence for a while until he asked "why were you crying?" i looked at him confused and replied with "because i thought i fucking killed you Hop, i thought i lost someone else to this hell hole town." I burst into tears and his jaw dropped "jesus Joy i'm so sorry i didn't realise you didn't see me climb down into the secret room" he pulled me into a hug being careful of my broken rib and fractured wrist. We stayed like that for a while my small frame in his large one until the kids walked over to us and we quickly moved away from eachother.

"dad where are we going to stay?" el asked cuddled up to Hopper's side. "oh shit the cabin is wrecked, um i'm not sure kid we will figure it out" she smiled and let out a weak "okay" I looked over at the two had become like family over the past year. They would come over for dinner, movie nights and sleepovers nearly every week. The nights they were at our home i had the least nightmares, i still had them but Hop snapped me out of them and comforted me until i was peaceful again. "you can stay at mine" i said lookig up at Hop. "are you sure?" he asked looking down "yes your welcome for as long as you need" he smiled "thanks Joy i really appreciate it" i smiled "any time."

Once we arrived back at the house the three kids went straight to bed as it was around 3am. Me and Hop were still sat up and wide awake. "smoke?" he asked tapping a box of camels and pointing to the door "sure" i said heading towards the door. We both sat on the porch swing and Hop lit a cigarette. He took a smoke and handed it to me. I took a smoke and then let out a cough. He looked over at me and laughed as i handed it to him "its really not funny Hop" he smiled at me "i think it is" We both laughed and smoked in the darkness.

"did you mean it?" he asked looking at me. "mean what?" i asked confused. "when you turned the keys you closed your eyes and mouthed 'i love you' did you mean it?" I sat in shock for a moment he really saw that? Then i had a sudden wave of confidence and i just pulled him in and kissed him and he kissed back! After a moment we pulled away from eachother "did that answer your question?" i asked cuddled up to his side. He smiled and put an arm around me "yes it did i love you too"

We walked back inside and fell to sleep on the couch in eachothers arms. We could be happy, finally!
