A tall man walked swiftly through the turning corridors of the broken down building in the slums, his hands still and his breathe almost making no sound.

He reached a small room with broken windows and entered it without hesitance, "Can I tell you something?" asked the man, looking at the dark corner.

From the shadows that rested there, a figure slowly formed out of the bending light and looked at Jay, his brown eyes turning into a deadly black.

The pitch black colour of the darkest night.

"Ah, yes, Jay." Said the man, removing his hood to reveal his soft brown hair. "I have heard that you wanted to talk."

"I do, Jake." He said, casually slipping down the chair, "Things have progressed so remarkably that I myself, am very much pleased with what I have found."

Jake let out a short laugh, almost like a small gasp. But Jay was used to his habits. After all, they had grown as brothers even in the worst times.

"Well, tell me all about it." Jake said to the other, who nodded while putting one hand on the cold wood and the other on Jake's hand.

"Remember how it was when we were young?" He asked softly, a question that was to tell another tale.

Remember our terrible childhood, my friend?

"I'm sure you haven't forgotten our childhood villain, also first victim." He continued, "Remember his last words to us?" Jay asked, to which Jake dutifully answered,

"To truly be a victor forever, you need the devil on your side. But the two of you are like porcelain dolls, that will break under the devil's hand."

Jay smiled softly at those stinging words, "He warned us of the devil, I think. He was talking about how much of evil we can bear."

"He thought we would be guilt ridden, fallen. But he was wrong. We never once regretted that, did we?" He asked to which Jake laughed heartily.

"Now," Jay continued, "I think we are strong enough to put ropes on the Devil and guess what, I think I found him."

Jake raised his eyebrows curiously, his mouth lopsided with focus. "A budding one, still tender. But he'll be amazing to us, he'll work well with us."

"Where are his loyalties?" Questioned Jake to which the other simply said, "His loyalties lie with his selfish gains, and I can easily control that."

Jake looked on, signalling Jay to continue, "He has a dream. A dream to be different. The common world scares him, scars him. He wants to be unique, he will want to follow the Nidra."

"The curse of the ordinary holds him suspended in an uncomfortable stance. He will want to break through, and the Nidra will be his answer."

Jake pursed his lips, "To be different, he would become a murderer?" At this Jay chuckled, "He would do it with no regret. He is, after all, the devil."

Jake smiled and got up, "Then call him. Make him join us." Jay nodded and walked with him, his hand always guarding his friend, "Indeed."

With that, they stood against the arching window, watching the Sea rise and tumble under the Moon's strong pull.

"We will rise like a tsunami and drag everything with us. Our wake would cause tremors in this world." Smiled Jay.

"When the Nidra goes to ground, everyone will realise the nightmare we are."
