Heesung felt like someone was kicking his head with full force.
He sat on his sofa, his legs sprawled all over the place, with the dim light fighting to stay alive. His head lay on the arm rest and his hands were on his temple.
"What do I do?" He whispered to himself softly, "What should I do?" He kept on repeating these words on and on, hoping for some sort of a metanoia.
He knows that the whole nation wanted these guys, the Nidra, to end just so that they can pursue their usual life again.
The Nidra.
What was this group?
He knew that they were at least an underground mafia group that is gaining popularity now. They were getting stronger and stronger.
It was no lie that he knew about the mafia dominance in NstateT.
Neocity, the shining economic hub, was controlled by various gangs that tried to maintain their supremacy by killing and oppressing.
The police system was always in combat with them, trying to eradicate these gangs. Special emphasis on Mafia Eradication is the only reason the city is not in turmoil.
But Nidra was a new name, a new player.
Nobody knew of this just born gang that was ruthlessly killing people. Even the usual gangs were not this brutal.
They were new, they were unusual. And now, he had a chance to join them.
"No." Heesung told himself, "This is wrong. I'm not a murderer, I'm a human." He kept on telling himself, yet he couldn't really believe these words.
Right now, there were two paths before him.
One was the polished marble road that shone in clear daylight. It is the road of which he knows all about, the road of his usual life that was filled with dissatisfaction.
Then there was the other road painted in the dark. All of it was unknown, all of it was suspicious. It was menacing, cruel and ugly. But it was what promised to make him full.
His heart chose the second road, his mind argued for the first.
"AARGH!" He screamed out loud, falling from the sofa to the floor. He sat on his knees, head hung low with the tips of his hair falling into his eyes.
"I need some fresh air." He told himself and left the apartment, walking away into the night sky.
And behind him followed a grinning mouth with a dying man.
As Heesung walked on, debating about what to do, the other person followed him in silence until he reached an old section of the road where no one was there.
Then the stalker came out of the dark, and whistled to Heesung, who spun rapidly on his heels.
"Jay."
Jay looked charmingly amazing on that night with his ice like hair falling softly on his sharp features while his black clothes were a complete contrast to his pale skin.
"Hello, my demon." Jay said out cheekily, "Are you still debating?" Heesung remained silent at this, his eyes unable to leave the fear consumed man in Jay's grip.
His heart leaped with excitement.
"Who is that?" Heesung asked sweetly, his huge eyes glimmering like the stars that were nowhere to be seen in the night sky. "What are you going to do?"
"What a curious one." Jay trailed, "I knew you'd like this, that's why I waited till you came out of your little hole."
Then he put the knife to the poor man's neck, "Want me do it? Tell me, how do you feel about this?" He asked calmly, as he slowly but steadily pushed his knife into the dead man's throat.
Heesung looked at the scene unfolding, the surprise Jay gave him. Did he want Jay to paint another piece of art for him or did he want to walk away from this madness.
The two paths appeared before him once again, but this time, one of the roads was prepared to pull him in.
"Answer me." Came Jay's voice, hovering over his thoughts.
"Let me help you then." Jay said, walking slowly, inching a little closer to Heeseung with every word he voiced.
"Your jealousy doesn't seem to end?" Yes.
"Your life bores you, you don't care to breathe anymore?" Yes.
"You need to breakthrough from this suffocating world?" Yes.
"You like this, a knife to the throat?" Does he? Yes.
Heesung's heart had became colder with every sentence.
With this, Jay paused to stand in front of heeseung, raising his sharp gaze to meet the shaking pupils of the other.
"Then you need the Nidra, then you will join the Nidra. Your cold heart will fit in perfectly. I just need you to say it out loud."
Heesung looked up and smiled, his soul turning into a velvet black. Then with his beautiful lips, he slowly pronounced,
"Yes."
