"You seem like a nice guy, Heeseung." Said Sunghoon, a pale boy with dark black hair, "We should hang out more."
"Yes indeed." Agreed Heeseung, "You're amazing as well." They somehow seemed to merge well, like two different parts made to fit together.
"So, when is your first mission?" Sunghoon asked casually, his hands on his waist. Heeseung remained silent, clearly confused.
His first mission is to take place this soon?
"That, Sunghoon, will happen tonight." answered another voice that Heeseung became way too familiar with.
"Tonight?" Heeseung exclaimed in surprise, turning to Jay. "Yes, tonight, in another 120 minutes. Get ready, quick."
"I'll help him." Sunghoon added and took Heeseung away to a room they called, 'The Deck'.
He was soon thrown in black clothes that hid his presence and was given an array of knives to keep with him despite the fact that he was completely unexperienced.
And before he could blink his eyes, he was out in the night with Jay by his side.
"That guy in the red suit, grey hair." Jay informed, "He is somewhat a power card in port control, so we need him away till we get our work done near the ships."
Target locked. The demon inside was begging to come out.
"Watch and learn, you don't have to do anything." This somewhat disappointed the black haired one who oh-so badly wanted to shed dark blood today.
Without looking at the other, Jay quickly followed the target till the road split into two parts, and then took off in the other route.
'To not look suspicious.' Heeseung noted, his step right behind Jay.
Then, through routes that were unknown to Heeseung, they manoeuvred their way to the same place the target sat smoking, completely oblivious to the looming shadow of death behind him.
Without hesitance, Jay pulled out his knife and walked right to him, slitting his throat in one slick movement.
Heeseung gasped lightly at that, his skin itching all over, the demon gnawing him from the inside. Struggling to come out.
The man lay in Jay's arms like a delicate dying rose, his blood staining his already red suit into a dark black. Jay looked up, and smiled at Heeseung, beckoning him to join the scene.
Heeseung agreed, his feet carried him step by step towards the other. He bent near the dying one and carefully eyed the other, his hands pushing back hair from the eyes.
"Pull out your knife, slit him the same way I did." Jay said. The glow that showed in Heeseung's eyes was incomparable to even the Sun's glare.
Jay noticed that and couldn't help but wonder how Heeseung even liked this without showing neither one ounce of regret nor hesitance.
He put the dying person on the ground and held the knife in his hand, stabilising the grip in Heeseung's quivering hands that were throbbing with excitement.
"Hold it like this, and keep the thumb stable all the time." He guided the other's hand and placed it near the neck, "This one is the vital spot that will cut clean."
And then the demon came out, ripping through his nerves and skin.
Heeseung nodded fervently, grinning, and trailed over the neck region of this poor man. Then, with the lightness of a feather and a grip of steel, he slid the knife through, ending the life of someone he didn't know.
A stranger who died fulfilling someone else's dream.
Heeseung's, to be specific.
"Jay!" He exclaimed, "I did it! I feel so happy." He looked at Jay with huge eyes that shimmered like rubies in the light. "Yes, you did." Jay nodded softly.
While Heeseung laughed along with the rustling wind, his throat rumbling beautifully with the vibrations, Jay couldn't help but notice how outstanding Heeseung was.
Jay had no idea how or when this feeling started flowing through his veins. This lustrous feeling that was changing each red drop of his blood into the silver of toxic mercury.
This deadly poison that bloomed unknown flowers around his heart, covering each inch of his soul with its quickly solidifying grip.
Heeseung sat calmly next to him, his hands covered in blood like red silk gloves. At this view, Jay felt the fear settle in him.
The fear of his heart being broken by a demon.
