4. Being Manly for You: Eijiro Kirishima

Summary: Kirishima tries to get your attention by showing off and being "manly."

Manly. That's a word that your friend, Kirishima, used very often. You knew that have been like this ever since he was younger. You knew that he looked up to the pro hero, Crimson Riot, like how people would look up to All Might. You've known him since middle school and you're going to the same highschool as him and your best friend Ashido (I know I use Mina as your best friend a lot, but bare with me please).

Today, your class was training to get better at your quirks by sparring with another person. You were paired up with Kirishima. You knew that he was going to let you win, so you warned him first.

"Hey, Ei, don't go easy on me because I won't go easy on you," you told him.

He shrugged and replied, "But I'm supposed to. It's the manly thing to do."

You sighed and started the match with a punch to his face. Kirishima dodged swiftly and tried to kick you, but you teleported behind him and pinned him to the ground with ease.

You get off of him and complained to him. "I told you not to go easy on me."

"I wasn't, I promise," said Kirishima. "I just didn't want to hurt you."

"Whatever."

Class ended and you walked back to the dorm with the Bakusquad. You guys talked on the way back and decided to game a bit before starting homework. Iida scolded you guys, but you didn't listen and plugged in your console and started gaming.

While gaming, Kirishima kept trying to impress you with his wins and different moves that he had learned to do in the game.

"Stop showing off, bro," said Sero. "You can tell that Y/N and Ashido isn't interested."

"But I just want to show them how manly I can be," said Kirishima. "I'll dominate all of you guys and show those two that I can be manly."

You rolled your eyes and said, "You don't need to show us. We already know how "manly" you can be."

"Want to go do our homework, Y/N?" asked Ashido. "I'm getting bored."

You nodded and left with Ashido to do your homework. Kirishima was disappointed and stopped gaming as well. He was only trying to show off to you because he wanted your attention. He liked you and wanted to show you in a not obvious way that he liked you.

The next day during lunch, Class 1-B's Neito Monama came to annoy you. He did this everyday and no matter what you tell him, he won't stop.

"Well, if it isn't Class 1-A's Y/N," said Monoma. "You know, your quirk is actually pretty useless than your other classmates."

You were shocked. Normally, he would just tease you and tell you how superior his class was. You were confused and a little hurt. It was true. Teleporting isn't a quirk that stands out as much to quirks like Bakugou's or Todoroki's.

"Um, I think that my quirk is just like the others," you tell him. That was a lie. You've always been ashamed of your quirk and wished that you could've gotten a better one.

"Who are you to judge someone else's quirk?"

You spun your head to the voice that tried to defend you. To your surprise, it was Kirishima. He walked over to where you were and when you looked at his face, you could tell that he was mad.
