*I am going on a trip for the next 9 days, it is doubtful that I will have wifi on Saturday so this is an early Midnight update on both my stories!*
TW: online bullying/harassments
this will mainly be Adrien's POV, next is definitely Marinette.
Adrien
Adrien didn't know how long he had been here. He was still holding Marinette as she calmed down, running his hand through her hair. The more tears that fell on his collar bone added to the pain in his chest. She didn't deserve this. He moved around getting more comfortable since she was asleep, but it seemed even then she grabbed on to him letting out a whine.
"Shh, it's alright. I'm still here." She calmed back down. He saw her phone light up on the beside table again. He had been watching it over her head as he held her. The temptation to grab it and look was getting higher and higher. He broke, reaching for the phone and opening it up. Her password was gone. Instagram notifications covered her phone along with missed calls from everyone. He couldn't help but open instagram and immediately he regretted it.
Her picture was right there up front with a crude comment underneath it. An older boy at school from the senior class as they were juniors. The end of the year was close so they were soon to be seniors too. As he scrolled, the whole feed was bullying and reposting of the picture. His anger grew as he saw the captions and words said. He saw comments from their friends as they stood up for her. But it wasn't enough.
"H-how bad is it?" He jumped at the voice. Adrien hadn't realized she woke up. He looked down to see her looking up at him through her bangs. The light of the phone was lighting up the room. He didn't want to tell her as he just pulled her closer, putting the phone down. She knew what that meant.
Another hiccup went through her as she got upset again. Her life was ruined. Marinette moved closer into him as she curled into a ball against him. The clock on the wall said 1:30am. It had been three hours. A chill went over her body as she realized how cold her room was.
"Here, put this on." He pulled the hoodie out from behind him. She looked down at it about to deny it when he placed it in her hands. She was going to wear it. He watched as she put it on before she curled back beside him.
"Who would do th-this to me?" The tear filled blue eyes made his heart break even more.
"I don't know, Princess." It was there that she curled back against him as she let herself fall back asleep. He picked her phone back up, turning the brightness down so she couldn't see it. A post from Chloe and Lila made his blood boil. They had reposted it! He looked through the comments as all the people who followed them were either split between bullying and crude comments or talking about how they should take it down and how wrong it was to repost it.
"Plagg, claws in." He lightly put his hand over her eyes so the light wouldn't wake her up. The little kwami flew out looking down at the two with sad eyes. How could people be so cruel? Adrien looked at Plagg,
"There should be some small snacks in the bakery. Don't take everything." He nodded at the boy as he watched him curl back against the girl as he continued running his fingers through her hair. Plagg slowly flew out trying to sense where Tikki was when he saw the bright pink motioning for him to follow through the floor. The two kwamis sat in the bakery chewing on some macaroons. He didn't like how sad Tikki looked.
"Who would do such a thing? Especially to Marinette! You didn't see her Plagg, when we got home she didn't even speak. She just curled up on her bed. Her parents tried to talk to her but she didn't respond." Tikki was close to tears. Plagg hugged her as best he could, holding her. He heard Adrien calling for him, it was time to leave.
