someone's crushing, someone's jealous, and someone's acting different :)
Adrien
He stood beside Nino and Alya as they waited to see if Marinette would show. She had texted them all last night in a small group chat that she would definitely be showing up. Adrien hoped she had changed her mind as he looked around the school. The older senior boys still stood in the corners being suspicious, the older girls stood away from them glaring at nothing mad that attention wasn't on them. It made him nervous to see what was coming.
When Alya gasped, he looked up hoping to see Marinette but his hope was crushed when his cousin stepped out of the car provided for him. They didn't ride together this morning and didn't see each other last night. Adrien heard Nathalie come in his room but pretended to be asleep. His night was made from finally having his kiss with Marinette that he had been waiting so long for, he was not going to ruin it with seeing Felix's face.
"Hello, cousin." Felix wore a pair of black jeans with a white shirt covered by a black button down shirt. Adrien couldn't help but notice how the outfit looked exactly like his, just completely opposite colors.
"Hello, Felix." He tried being friends with Felix after he left but then Nino told him what really happened with the phone situation and he shut that down quickly. He was not going to be friends with someone who hurt his friends. Felix stood in front of him with a cocky little smirk that made his blood boil. He was about to comment on it when a new voice came into the picture,
"God, it's is ridiculous that I now have to see your face every morning." He could see Alya and Nino giving Chloe a thankful look. The past few days Chloe hadn't done anything to anyone and it made Alya see a new side of her, especially since Adrien told her about what she said last night. Chloe crossed her arms with her famous expression of annoyance.
"I don't see how you hate mine but love Adrien's, we look almost identical." She scoffed at him, rolling her eyes. It was not the face that was different. It was his eyes. While Adrien held a carefree happy look, Felix's eyes looked evil with secrets buried deep. It was hard to explain but it was the eyes that gave it away.
"Trust me, I can tell the difference. You look more like a jacka-" Her words were cut short as a group of older girls near them started whispering very loudly,
"Oh my god, she's back."
Their heads turned to see Marinette walking up to school. His eyes went wide at the sight of her wearing his hoodie. Instead of her pigtails, she wore her hair down as if she hadn't really done anything to it other than brush it. She still wore her famous pink jeans which matched perfectly with his black hoodie. She topped it all off with a new pink headband.
Alya couldn't control herself as she ran forward wrapping her arms around Marinette. It had been so long since she had seen her! It made her realize just how much she took Marinette for granted sometimes. She felt Marinette hug back with the same force as her. They didn't care how many people were staring at them as the two bestfriends finally came together again.
Nino hugged her next, Marinette had become like a sister to him over the years. They were all a family. He knew that she had on her brave face today and it made him proud that she was going to try to make it through the day. He couldn't count the times he had to hold Alya or even Adrien back from hitting someone with her gone.
"We've missed you so much." He pulled back to see a small smile on her face. It wasn't the full one he was used to, her eyes weren't what he was use to either. They held a dull look to them that made him feel nervous. It was so foreign.
