Entering The Villa With Kim

It's the evening of the second day of Love Island Australia 2018, and I'm so excited and nervous! Me and one other girl are the 'bombshell's of tonight's 'Villa Warming Party'. I've left the hotel where we all stay before we head to the villa, after being in lockdown for a few days before production, in a red jeep and production drops me near the steps up to the villa.

As I step out of the car, another identical jeep pulls up right behind me and out pops a gorgeous woman around my age, also blonde, wearing a shimmering gold dress and holding a bottle of champagne, just like me.

"Hi! I'm Lexi!" I introduce myself, giving her a quick hug and air kiss on the cheek, as I have red lipstick on and I don't think she'd appreciate me getting it on her.

"Hi, I'm Kim! Lovely to meet you!" she introduces herself, clearly just as excited and nervous as I am.

We link hands and begin walking up the steps to the villa for the camera crew. They stop us in front of the door before opening it quietly and waving us in. We walk through the living area and out to where the party is.

"Hello!" We both call, waving the two bottles of champagne. We spot the girls off to one side on one of the day beds under the balcony, and wave at them but move to the boys, as told by producers. A couple of the girls give stank faces and we can hear the snide comments, but we smile at each other and ignore them as we reach the boys.

"Hello boys," Kim says, "How are we?"

"Good," a chorus of deep voices responds.

Each of the boys move forward, introducing themselves and giving us hugs and pecks on the cheek.

"Hi, I'm Lexi, it's lovely to meet you all!" I say, smiling.

"Where are you guys from?" Grant asks.

"I'm from Brizzy, anyone else?" Kim says, glancing at the boys but none of them are from Queensland.

"Nah we're all Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra," Eden tells us, pointing to Justin for Melbourne and Grant for Canberra.

"I'm from Melbourne," I tell them.

"Looks like you brought a bottle of champagne each," Josh notices, and Kim hands him her bottle.

"I actually don't drink this so I don't know how to open it," she giggles slightly. I hand mine to Grant as he sticks his hand out to ask for it.

"Me either. I usually go for some kind of cocktail, vodka or cider," I say as I pass Grant the bottle.

The boys start working on opening the bottles for everyone and call the girls over to come meet us.

I go around to all of the girls introducing myself. I pick up a little bit of a hostile vibe from Erin at the moment, but all the girls had it when we came in so I think nothing of it, determined to change that.

"You girls' teeth are so white, it's amazing!" Tayla compliments and we both thank her.

"How old are you?" Erin asks us.

"22," "24," Kim and I announce, respectively.

We keep on chatting to the girls as the boys split off into two groups and start chattering about us, but low enough that we can't hear most of the conversation. In my head I realise that Kim and my arrival means that at least one of the girls is most likely to go unless they bring in a couple more boys in the next day or two.

"What do you guys do for work?" Millie asks.

"I'm a bikini model, and I own my own hair salon so I'm a hairdresser as well," Kim tells us.
