At Jen's house, a few days later :

Courteney : So how is he?

Jen : Who?

Courteney : Who do you think? Brad.

Jen : Well, I visited him yesterday... he said he was fine, but just missed being home and me, and you know working.

Courteney : Oh yeah, they had to pause production didn't they?

Jen : Yeah, so he's hoping to get out in a couple of weeks.

Courteney : I bet you do too.

Jen : Yeah, yeah I do.

Courteney : Is it lonely... I mean I know you've lived by yourself before and all, but it must be different when you're used to having someone there all the time.

Jen : It's definitely lonely. I mean we call each other every day and I go visit him, but you know... it's not the same.

Courteney : Right.

Jen : I can't imagine how you feel with Johnny being in a different country, oh my god.

She laughs as Jen widens her eyes.

Courteney : Well... I mean you get used to it.

Jen nods as Courteney looks down on the table, noticing a book laying there.

Courteney : What's this?

She picks it up, reading what's written on the cover out loud.

Courteney : Our memories, 1998-2005.

Jen : Yeah.

Courteney : You and Brad?

Jen : Mhm.

Court gets closer to Jen as she takes a sip of wine, opening it up on the first page.

Courteney : I remember you guys would always bring a camera everywhere.

Jen : Yeah, that's right.

Courteney : And when we'd ask why you'd always answer with that...

Jen : For our memories.

Courteney : Yeah.

The two women laugh, while Court flips through the pages.

Courteney : Was that your first date?

Jen : No, no... that was at a restaurant a couple months earlier.

Courteney : Oh, right.

Courteney looks down on the picture, taking her straight back to that time of their lives.

Courteney : Did you sleep with him on your first date?

Jen : Oh, come on Court you know I don't sleep with guys on the first date.

Courteney : Uhm, Jack Carty, Daniel McDonald, Paul Schulfor...

Jen : Anymore!

They laugh before Courteney clears her throat.

Courteney : So you didn't sleep with him?

Jen : No, I did.

Courteney : I knew it!

23 years ago, at hotel the spring of 1998 :

Brad : Got the food, got the music...

While walking around his hotel room getting everything ready for his date tonight, Brad notices something's missing.

Brad : Candles Brad, candles...
