Jen : You met him at my birthday party, dad.

John : That was ages ago.

Jen : I know...

John : I'd just like to have a chat with him you know... and catch up on things.

Jen : I'm just worried about your health, you really shouldn't be traveling right now.

John : It's just an hour long drive.

Jen : I guess, but...

Jen sighs, knowing this means she'll have to tell her family about the baby.

John : We haven't seen you in so long Jenny, we see Alex all the time, but you we never...

John : Your house is so big, it won't be hard to keep distance... plus we'll wear masks.

Jen : Well, I guess you could come visit soon, but...

John : We're free this weekend.

Jen : This weekend?

Widening her eyes, she scratches her head.

John : Yes.

Jen : Uhm...

John : Or are you too busy for your father?

Jen : No, dad. I'm not.

John : Great, this weekend then.

Jen : Okay, I'll talk to Brad.

Later, that day:

Jen : What are you doing?

Jen peaks her head through the door of her office,
while on her way to work out.

Brad : Oh, hi babe.

Walking over to him, she sits down on his lap.

Brad : Just answering emails.

Jen : Oh.

Brad : Have I ever told you how good you look in leggings?

Jen : Uhm, yes... you comment on my ass every time I'm in the gym.

He laughs, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Brad : It does look particularly good in this fabric.

Jen : Oh, really?

Jen rolls her eyes at him

Jen : My dad's coming over this weekend, with Sherry.

Brad : Oh.

Jen : Would that be okay with you?

Brad : Why do you need to ask me?

Jen : Well, you sort of live here so...

He clears his throat, interrupting her.

Brad : Well, technically I don't think we've ever discussed me actually moving in.

Jen : Haven't we?

Brad : No. The plan was that I was going to live here for a few weeks to see how things went, and when those weeks were over...

Jen : Right.

Brad : We were supposed to discuss it, but we never did.

Jen : Well, I think it's safe to say that thing went pretty good.
