Bottoms Up

"Are you ready to go?"Alex asked, I turn and look at her sitting next to me packing up her stuff.

"Yeah just give me a minute."

The rest of the class is all making their way out of the classroom. I guess I zoned out for most of class.I put all of my books into my bag and followed Alex out of class.

Alex is one of my best friends and also my roommate. We live in an off campus apartment. She has mid-length auburn hair and deep green eyes and she is a little taller than me. She loves reading and is such a hopeless romantic. She loves photography and is very artsy. We spend a lot of our time together watching our favorite tv shows.

"Are you okay? You literally didn't pay attention to any of that class" Alex asks on our way out.

"Oh yeah I'm fine I was just up late last night so I'm tired." I replied while we walked down the hallway.

"Well I have a while until my next class, do you wanna get some coffee?''

"Yes I need coffee."

I was up until 4:30 last night binge watching Grey's Anatomy which honestly isn't that rare for me. It may or may not be a problem but we aren't gonna talk about it.

Alex and I make our way to the coffee stand which is just outside the building. I just got iced coffee but she got some type of frappuccino vanilla something, I never know. We go to sit on a bench nearby to sit and drink our coffee.

"I heard that there is a frat party tomorrow wanna go?" I ask Alex while smirking.

"Do I even have a choice?'' She looks at me knowingly.

I love going out to parties. Honestly dancing when you're drunk and don't care about being judged is one of the best feelings ever. And I never miss a chance to dress up.

"Mhmm" I pretend to think about it, "I would say yes but probably not."

"I don't know Danika. I mean I have a photography assignment that's due next week."

"Come on, please! You know you'll enjoy it when you come out and look, the party is tomorrow so that gives you all of Saturday and Sunday to work on it. We can invite Cooper too. It will be so fun." I know that she is just being stubborn because she loves parties almost as much as I do.

"Okay fine I guess I'll make it work. But you know Connor will probably be there anyways right?" she sighs and I jump up and hug her.

"Yes! Exactly even more reason to go, we are gonna have so much fun."

"Yeah yeah whatever." she says but I can see that she is just as excited as I am. We sit there for a while just talking until I see a familiar face walk our way.

"Cooper!" I yell his name and he notices me and smiles.

"Hey Danika, hey Alex. How's it going?" he asks, sitting down next to me.

"Actually, we were just talking about you." I say nudging his arm.

He looks between Alex and me smirking "Oh were you now?"

Alex smacks him in the head."Get your head out of the gutter, we were talking about that frat party tomorrow. You going?"

"Well duh, it's a frat party most of the football team is going."

Cooper is my other best friend, he has dark brown hair and blue eyes. He is one of the best football players on the school's team, he got a full ride football scholarship. I don't know anyone that loves sports more than him. He seems like a big scary guy because he is 6 ft tall and is well built but honestly he is one of the most kind hearted people I know.
