The ostentatious palace of Vijaygarh was beautifully decorated with exotic flowers and exquisite jewels after all, the mighty queen of Vijaygarh, Maharani Aparajita Singh Rathore was returning back from the battlefield after emerging victorious in the battle.
The old king, Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore was disgusted at his brother, Ajeet Singh Rathore who had stooped so low that he had planned to kill his own family members.
The old king of Vijaygarh, Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore was elated at the success of his daughter. He was satisfied that the murderers of his wife were captured and ready to be punished. He was delightfully waiting for his daughter to welcome her in his arms. The king was pleased after he had heard about the prince of Shivgarh, Yuvraj Veerbhadra Singh Rajput, who had sacrificed his life for saving Aparajita. The old king did not know what destiny had in store for his daughter but he was glad she was safe.
He was obviously concerned about the life of young prince but as of now he knew what he had to do. He had even invited the king of Shivgarh, Maharaja Jai Singh Rajput to the palace of Vijaygarh.
The trumpets were blown and shouts of joy echoed in the palace as soon as the queen galloped on her horse while the army followed her. The dancers began to dance gracefully while musicians started to sing odes praising the queen welcoming her in her kingdom. The mighty queen, Maharani Aparajita Singh Rathore got down from her horse while Nandini gracefully came out of the palanquin.
The old king, Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore was elated to see Nandini in the royal palace. He pitied the young girl for becoming a widow at the tender age of seventeen but he also respected the woman who had protected his daughter by giving the prior intimation about the conspiracy. He walked upto his daughter-in-law who gracefully bent down to touch his feet and take his blessings. The old king was truly overwhelmed at the brave woman who had stood by the side of truth. He hugged her gently and spoke, “Nandini, you are my daughter just like Aparajita”. Caressing her back as tears trickled down her face, the old king whispered, “I am really sorry for your loss, child. I will be glad if you will be happy and move on with your life”.
Nandini was elated to find a fatherly figure in Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore. She found new hopes to live. She was mesmerized with the splendid palace but more than that, she was captivated at the down-to-earth nature of the royal dwellers of the opulent palace.
The old king hugged his daughter happily and whispered, “I am proud of you, my child. Your mother will be delighted to see you at this place today.” The little girl inside the mighty queen cried in the embrace of her father. She had already lost her mother and her brother. She did not want to lose Veer and her father.
Anxiously, Aparajita whispered, “Father, Veer…”
Caressing her back, the old king murmured, “He will be fine. We will talk about this later.”
The queen instructed her trustworthy maids to escort Nandini to her bed chambers and make arrangements for her stay. Rushing to her bed chambers, the mighty queen of Vijaygarh freshened up. She had to summon the assembly of her royal court and announce the punishments of the culprits who had conspired against the death of her mother five years ago.
As soon as she reached her chambers, fresh stream of tears trickled down her face as concerns about Veer crossed her mind. The arrangements for the treatment of the prince, Yuvraj Veerbhadra Singh Rajput were made in the royal palace itself. The maids dressed the queen in a pink colored blouse and matching skirt while the mighty queen had put on expressionless face masking her pain and trauma.
The royal ministers of Vijaygarh hailed the shouts of joy and bowed respectfully in front of their efficient queen when Maharani Aparajita Singh Rathore sat on the royal throne. Her father, Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore was present in the royal assembly while Nandini was nowhere to be found.
The old king of Rajgarh, Dushyant Pratap Singh and the cunning mastermind, Ajeet Singh Rathore were standing in the whole assembly with their heads bowed down in shame while their hands and legs were chained with iron chains. Shyambhavi Devi, the wife of Ajeet Singh Rathore was thrown into the dungeons. The couple Ajeet Singh Rathore and Shyambhavi Devi were cursing their daughter-in-law Nandini, still not regretting their deeds.
The mighty queen smirked looking at her enemies with disgust. The lifeless body of her mother and her brother flashed in front of her eyes. Taking a sharp breath, the queen announced, “The culprits, Dushyant Pratap Singh and Ajeet Singh Rathore will be beheaded tomorrow morning in front of the crowd of Vijaygarh because they are traitors. Ajeet Singh Rathore and his accomplice are accused of killing the late queen. Maharani Manjughosha Devi.”
The queen ordered the royal priest to make arrangements for the cremation of Vikrant Singh Rathore and other martyrs of the war. Dismissing the royal assembly, the queen walked towards the chambers of the royal physician to check upon the health of Veer when she was stopped by her father.
The old king, Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore had been noticing the pain in the chocolate brown orbs of his daughter. He smiled looking at his daughter who seemed to be overly concerned of the prince. Remembering the way his daughter had referred the powerful prince with his nickname, Veer; the old king grinned.
“Meet me in my bed chambers”, the king ordered his daughter walking away while Aparajita followed him timidly.
The old king made himself comfortable on the couch while Aparajita sat on one of the upholstered chairs of his bed chambers in silence.
“Child, I am talking with you like a father”, the old king stated with a warm smile on his face while Aparajita smiled meekly in return.
“What have you planned for the prince now?” the king asked his daughter who had her head bowed down. Aparajita realized that her father knew about her wailings in the battlefield which was an incorrigible act in the eyes of society.
“I am extremely sorry, father. I shattered your pride by being an imprudent queen. I should have not cried in front of my people. I am so sorry, father.” Aparajita apologized with tears in her eyes.
“I am really proud to be the father of this impeccable queen, Aparajita. You are my pride. I am truly glad by your ways with Nandini. I am really delighted to have you back safely.” Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore praised his daughter. In a low voice, he whispered, “I pray for the well-being of your Veer, my child but I want to know about your further plans.”
Aparajita blushed hard listening the last part. She was truly embarrassed in front of her father. With a small smile, she confessed, “Father, I was shattered beyond measure when I realized the prince had been fooling me earlier. When I realized, he was present in the battlefield, I was disgusted at him as I deduced, he was planning my downfall by joining hands with Vikrant but when he saved my life, I realized I did not want to lose him. He sacrificed his own life for me and I forgive him for his deeds.”
Aparajita spoke in a single breath while her father could not help but appreciate her maturity. Realizing Aparajita’s love for the prince, he decided to talk to the prince himself after he recovered but as of now, he was concerned of Shivgarh.
“Child, I want you to return Shivgarh back to the rightful owners”, the old king pleaded his daughter while Aparajita nodded in affirmation.Hugging her father tight, she cried her heart out constantly mumbling, “I would do anything but I just want him happy and alive”.
The old king caressed his daughter lovingly and prayed for the prince’s well-being while the queen slept like a baby in the embrace of her father.
Maharaja Vijay Singh Rathore realized though his daughter had a plethora of responsibilities on her which she fulfilled efficiently yet, she yearned for love.♥️♥️♥️
