The beautiful queen of Vijaygarh, Maharani Aparajita Singh Rathore had returned to her bed chambers after the rigorous physical training session with her mentor, Siddharth Pratap Singh.
She was keen on honing her swordsmanship skills and learn new defensive techniques as she wanted to emerge victorious in the upcoming war. She had also instructed the commander-in-chief of the army of Vijaygarh, Avdhesh Singh Ranawat to increase the training hours of all the soldiers.
The queen was well aware of the fact that despite Pranathgarh was a small, tribal village with almost no wealth and no standing army yet, the villagers were trained rigorously to protect themselves. Notably, the tribal villagers used poisonous arrows in the war which were dipped in venom of poisonous snakes found in the forest.
This was the primary reason that no kingdom had ever tried to usurp Pranathgarh and other tribal villages. Therefore, Aparajita needed to ensure that she and the army of Rathores had an upper hand in the war.
The sweat droplets on her body were shining like gorgeous pearls on her milky white skin as the morning hues were falling on the queen. Instructing her maids to prepare a warm bath for her, she was standing in the balcony of her bed chambers watching the birds that chirped early in the morning when she saw a familiar white pigeon, Dharmadoot, flying towards her bed chambers.
A smile crept on her lips and her heart involuntarily fluttered as the bird came near her. The queen snapped at the little girl inside her who was clearly attracted to masculine body and intriguing talks of the prince. Aparajita caressed the wings of the bird as she took the letter that was tied onto it. She went inside her bed chambers and sat on one of the upholstered chairs as she read the letter,
Dear Aparajita
With my love and affection for the enchanting queen, here, I am sending you a bundle of hopes and joy. Hoping for your good health, I want to congratulate you on your success.
I am amazed to hear about your pompous victory against Rajgarh. I am glad that my queen proved herself and being true to her name, she came out as ‘the invincible’.
Now that, you are soon going to take revenge against the murderers of your mother, the respected queen of Vijaygarh, Maharani Manjughosha Devi, I am really excited to see you winning against everything. All the very best, dear queen.
Aparajita, since you have been on a war recently, I am sure you need a break. I know a hunting trip to the forest would be too much for ask right now, since my queen is really busy.
So, I request you to visit the forest tonight near the banyan tree. I want to see your beautiful face on the full moon night and cherish our wonderful conversation.
I hope the humble prince is not asking too much and I wish the kindest queen would definitely fulfill the wish of this prince.
Looking forward to have an honor of meeting you, dear queen.
Yours Veer
Reading the letter, the queen’s heart fluttered. She chided herself numerous times to get a grip but unknowingly she was getting mesmerized in the captivating talks. She regretted treating the prince harshly the previous time and to make up for her incorrigible behavior, she wanted to visit her friend tonight.
No doubts, the queen was still contemplating if she was doing the right thing or not. She still had unspeakable fears deep inside her like what would happen if someone finds out that the queen sneaked out of her palace. The thoughts of getting caught with the prince of Shivgarh late at night would surely destroy her dignity after all, her acts would seem clandestine.
However, the queen against her better judgment decided to take the risk.
Mentally planning to sneak out of the palace on the pretext of patrolling the kingdom, the queen decided to visit the forests tonight. She wanted to thank the prince for his unwavering support in finding out the real culprits behind her mother’s death. She could not deny the fact that she was able to unveil the truth because she had been befriending the prince of her neighbouring kingdom at the first place. An unknown voice inside her was constantly nagging that meeting the prince in the forest late at night was disgraceful and incorrigible but for the first time, Maharani Aparajita Singh Rathore was ready to commit this clandestine act. An unknown smile crept on her lips as she decided to visit her friend tonight.
Keeping her thoughts aside, the queen took the quill and dipped it in the red ink and penned down the letter,
Yuvraj Veerbhadra Singh Rajput
I am thankful for your help in finding out the real culprit behind my mother’s death. The pure soul of Maharani Manjughosha Devi would surely bless you for your deeds.
As far as meeting you is concerned, I am not sure.
Have a pleasant day.
Regards
Maharani Aparajita Singh RathoreAparajita smirked looking at the contents of letter as she tied the letter at the feet of Dharmadoot who flew away instantly to its kingdom.
With a newly found joy, the young queen of Vijaygarh took a warm, relaxing bath and allowed the royal maids to dress her up for another day at the royal court.
The prince of Shivgarh, Yuvraj Veerbhadra Singh Rajput, on the other hand, was pacing to and fro in his bed chambers inside the royal palace of Shivgarh anxiously in the afternoon. The proceedings at the royal court of Shivgarh had ended and the prince was looking forward to meet the mighty queen of Vijaygarh, Maharani Aparajita Singh Rathore tonight. He wanted to smirk imagining her self-respect and dignity crumbling down in front of her own people but much to his dismay, he could not feel happy at all.
With a continuous feeling that he was going to commit an unpardonable sin, the prince was getting irritated at every moment. After a long series of contemplations, Veerbhadra decided to go ahead with his plan only if the mighty queen would get ready to meet him tonight. He wanted to be overwhelmed because he was getting a step closer to winning his enemy however, the joy was nowhere found.
Veerbhadra took a deep breath as he furiously chided himself for developing a soft corner for his enemy. Remembering the mutilated state of his beloved grandfather’s dead body, the prince strengthened his resolve of revenge and smirked imagining himself sitting at the opulent throne of Vijaygarh when his pet pigeon fluttered its wings after entering his bed chambers.
With immense anxiety and nervousness, the prince opened the letter and smirked reading its contents aloud.
“I am sure, my little minx that you will come to meet me tonight and this night will be the worst night of your life”, Veerbhadra shrieked devilishly and laughed like a maniac.
