Chapter 28: Why her?

Daniels POV:

Coma: A state of deep unconsciousness that lasts for a long period of time, caused by serve illness or Injury.

Why her?

I throw my phone hard to the wall, making it shatter like a delicate vase. I stand still in joey's living room, my hands ball into fists. I'm not mad I'm just shocked to know that Vicki is in a coma. What happened to her? I need to head to the hospital now!

"Dude, calm down what's wrong?" Joey gets up from his couch and looks at me with a shocked look.

"I need to go." I storm off to the door.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"Hospital." I yell back, I hop into my car. I take a moment to digest all of this. I rest my forhead on the steering wheel, I grab the sides of my head and try not to think that Vicki is in a coma.

Please don't leave.

"Daniel, calm down. The only way for you to get in there is just to calm down." Levi holds my shoulders trying to keep me away from Vickis room.

"Who hit her?" I ask, I meet levis eyes.

"I don't know, the police will come soon to talk to Rachel." She assures me. I can see the pain that Levi has in her eyes, her eyes are red, and her hair is just in a messy ponytail.

"I've calmed down, can I please go in that room and see Vicki?" I ask, trying not to push levi out of the way.

"Yes." She moves out of the way.

I look at the handle on the door, I try to keep my heart at a steady pace but it beats a thousand times in one minute. I open the door and step into the room, I can see her beautiful face that sleeps. Half of her body is damaged with casts everywhere. Right next to her is her mother looking at her daughter with sadness in her eyes.

"Hello, Daniel." Rachel says softly, she gets up from the small chair she was sitting on.

"Hello, Ms. Areos." I walk up to Vickis bed and take a seat next to her.

"I'll leave you to be alone with her." She's out the door.

I take a moment to look at the girl I love, the girl I want to be with. She's so beautiful when her eyes are closed, her lips are chapped. I come close to her lips and peck them softly. "Don't you dare leave me, Collin." I chuckle just a bit.

"I don't know when you'll wake up but when you do I'll definitely be having you in my arms the whole time. You can't leave, it's to soon. Damn, this is crazy to know that I won't be able to talk to you for who knows how long. Infinate thoughts run in my brain about you, I care for you. I want you to know that I love you, yes, I love you with every piece of my heart. You make go crazy when I see that gorgeous face of yours.

"I'd die if you leave me." I look down to the floor.

I can feel liquid fill both of my eyes, are these tears? Never have I cried once in my life but in this case I'm crying for Vicki. She can't leave me here and I can't bare to know that she wouldn't come back and be able to kiss those plump lips of hers. I miss her. I miss hearing her voice. I miss seeing her be all happy and not caring about anything or about anyone else.

I miss her body close to mine, as if we're connected in some way. I miss being able to stare at her eyes that somehow trap you and keep you safe.

I look up to her face and come close to her ear.

"If you leave, I'll leave with you." I say softly.

I know, this was short but it was hard to see this scenery in real life. Sorry that I haven't updated in such a long time but I've had a tight schedule even in spring break.

So what do you think about Daniel saying that if Vicki were to leave out this world, he would leave with her?
