Alison read the note, smiled, and immediately put on her coat.

With her hand already on the handle of the door she hesitated for a second, then opened it and ran down the stairs, way faster than any lift could ever do. While crossing the doorway she realized she hadn't closed the door but kept going anyway. Once in the streets it was hard for her to keep herself walking to not draw too much attention from other people because of how much she didn't want to be late.

When she arrived on the terrace form where the show would have been the greatest she complimented herself for having collided with just three people on her way; last time she was in a rush like that, couldn't even remember the last time she was so excited for something. Fresh air in her hair, that freezing breeze slipping past her scarf making the scar on her neck burn. Memories of the past never leave do they? But with time you learn to live with them don't you? And finally, the whole skyscraper exploded in front of her eyes.
