Stevie had waited to take the pregnancy test until after their families had dispersed after Christmas. Freya had stayed the night at her best friend's house and Lindsey was at work so after she ate breakfast she took a breath and went upstairs. She examined the box and gulped before she took the test. After her allotted fifteen minutes was up she looked down at was greeted by two pink lines. She chewed on her lip for a little bit and then she placed her hand on her stomach.
"What are we going to do with you?" Stevie asks her stomach.
She just shakes her head and heads downstairs ready to collect Freya from her friend's house. A new baby was definitely going to be an adjustment, no questions asked and that didn't help the initial fear that was running through her body. When Lindsey got home, he went upstairs to do god knows what he did every day when he got off of work, but his first stop was always upstairs. When she entered their bedroom door he had stripped out of his button down and there was a ratty old sweatshirt thrown over the foot of the bed.
"How did it go today baby?" Lindsey asks.
All Stevie does is she just nods and she starts to cry.
"Is that a nod and some tears because you're pregnant?" He asks
She nods and brings her hands up to her eyes.
"I take it those aren't happy tears." He sighs.
She shakes her head no. "I can't go through that again Lindsey I can't."
"I won't let it happen. We'll get you a new doctor and we'll tell them what happened and if it happens again we sue okay."
"We should've sued the first time." Stevie sniffles.
"We couldn't afford it the first time." Lindsey laughs lightly causing Stevie to let out a little chuckle.
"This is good Steph, it'll be good I promise. I'm hoping for a little Oliver this time." Lindsey smiles.
"What if it's a little Luna." Stevie looks up at him.
"You want to name a little girl Luna?" Lindsey asks her.
"Do you not like it?" She questions sadly.
"No baby, I love it. It's unique just like Freya's name is." He kisses her head.
"You can pick her middle name." Stevie beams.
"Luna Lynn, just like her mama...But see Steph, you're already ten times better than you were with Freya."
"Can I tell you something?" Stevie asks playing with the hem of her top.
"Hmm," He looks at her.
"I love the name Freya...It suits her perfectly...but when you told me that was going to be her name, I got a little sad because I wanted to name a little girl Sara Rhiannon." She informs him.
"Why didn't you say something Steph?" Lindsey asks.
"I didn't feel...I guess I felt like I couldn't because I had told you that every decision regarding our baby was up to you." She shrugs.
"I wish you would've said something though. Why can't we name this one Sara Lynn if it's a little girl?"
"Amy Sara Buckingham." Stevie answers. It was like a stab in the heart when Daryl decided to name Amy, Amy Sara, not that Stevie could say anything because at that time no one knew that it was a potential Buckingham-Nicks baby name, but they also weren't actively trying for a second baby and Stevie had put her foot down and was adamant another one would never be born into their family.
