Stevie was in and out of sleep, but she was content. She was in the bed and she was in her own pajamas, and Luna was right next to her in a plastic crib. And Lindsey had left the room only to return with Freya which caused Stevie to light up a little bit more.
"Hey sweet girl." Stevie coos a little bit more chipper and awake as Freya runs and jumps up on the bed wrapping her arms around Stevie and straddling her waist.
"Your tummy isn't big anymore." Freya states.
"Nope, because Luna's right here." She points to the cradle and Freya gasps trying to peer over it.
"Linds Honey, can you hand her to me?" Stevie asks.
Lindsey nods and takes the baby placing her in Stevie's arms for Freya, Jess, and Barb to see.
"Freya Rhiannon, I'd like you to meet Luna Lynn Buckingham." Stevie smiles.
"She looks like me." Freya states.
"Yeah baby she does." Stevie nods moving one of her hands to pull Freya's head to her lips to kiss her temple.
"Did I have dark hair like that when I was a baby too?"
"Nope you had blonde hair, just like you do right now. Her's is just as curly as your hair was but she's got dark hair like daddy." Stevie explains.
"How big was she?" Barbara asks.
"Seven pounds 9 ounces, about a pound heavier than Freya was. Eighteen inches long though, just like her big sister." Lindsey answers.
"Well she's so precious." Barbara coos.
"Mama is she going to get to come to school with me?" Freya asks.
"What do you mean?" Stevie asks cuddling both of her girls close to her.
"Can I bring her to class."
"No peanut you can't bring her to class, but she'll be at school time to time." Stevie sighs.
"Like when..." She asks.
"Um, See Daddy and I have to talk about that." Stevie looks up at Lindsey.
"Steph you might as well bring her. You're required to be there and I'm not missing the open house, And I know you aren't going to want to leave her with your parents." Lindsey sighs.
"Really, it's no offense. I wouldn't' even Leave Freya alone with someone other than me or Lindsey until she was a year old." Stevie looks at her parents.
"We know, we remember." Jess nods.
"So she'll be at the open house then, and we can bring her to the fall festival, She might come for Halloween, but I'd have to talk to your teacher. If she can't come then daddy might not be able to come to the halloween party. But she'll be at the Christmas concert, the spring carnival, and the music festival at the end of the year. So don't worry about it, there'll be plenty of times where you can show her off to your friends." Stevie assures as Luna starts crying.
"Do you want to help daddy feed her?" Stevie asks.
"Yeah!!" Freya cheers.
"Alright climb off." Stevie pats her hip.
She was now confined to the bed because she has an IV administering a drug that halts the production of milk because she's not breast feeding.
"I still think you should consider breast feeding." Barbara plops down on the bed.
"Mom, my boobs, my milk...I'm not doing that. I'm literally going back to work in like twenty days...it's not happening." Stevie shakes her head.
"Yeah how is that going to work?" Barbara asks.
"Lindsey switched to nights. He called John today. He's off for the week and then starting on the sixteenth he'll work 5-11. He's losing two hours a day but John's being very accommodating with him." Stevie explains.
"Yeah he's giving me the title of night manager. I'm getting a raise." Lindsey smiles.
"Well as long as you guys think it'll work." Jess pats Lindseys back as Lindsey sticks the bottle in Luna's mouth.
"Alright, I love you all really I do, but I want to go to bed. When I wake up do you think you could go out and get me some food?"
"Sure sweetie." Jess comes over and kisses her forehead.

It's barely three hours later when Freya wakes Stevie up, by sitting on her stomach and poking her. Before she even opens her eyes she reaches up and grabs Freya's hand.
"Mama doctor."
Stevie whines in the back of her throat and opens her eyes.
"I'm sorry, your medicine drip to stop your milk production is done and I want to check on your bleeding." Dr. Carlton states.
"Fine...Freya baby you're going to have to go stand out in the hall with Grandma and Papa." Stevie sighs.
"But mama." She pouts.
"I know, I'm so sorry but it won't take that long." Stevie kisses her head as Jess comes over and picks her up carrying her out to the hallway.
"Have I ever told you how cute she is?" Dr. Carlton questions once the door is shut.
"I honestly don't know. But thank you." Stevie smiles opening her legs as the doctor messes with her blankets and the adult diaper she's wearing so she can give her a pelvic.
After the checkup the doctor pulls the bloodied gloves off and looks at Stevie. "You are recovering well you're already about twelve hours post birth and you're healing great. I'd say you could be home by the close of the day tomorrow. If you feel up for it that is."
"Honestly, I'll do whatever you tell me to do." Stevie shrugs once she's been changed and re-situated in the bed.
"I'll make my final decision tomorrow. Luna's perfectly healthy she's eating fine regulating her heat so honestly you'll probably be going home tomorrow." She nods.
"Great, I miss my king." Stevie pouts.
"I wish I had a king to miss. My husband likes us to be stuck to each other at night so we have a full." She explains.
"Ew, I would never be able to lay with Stevie in a full, she kicks in her sleep." Lindsey explains.
"I do not." Stevie pouts.
"Yes you do. I call it the cricket move Freya does it too.
"Speaking of Freya, can I let my baby back in the room?" Stevie points to the door.
"Of course. Do you want us to leave Luna here or take her to the nursery?" Dr. Carlton inquires peering into the plastic crib where Luna is sleeping peacefully.
"She's staying here." Stevie state firmly.
"Alright." Dr. Carlton chuckles.
