A week later, Xerxes, Riley, and the rest were back in D.C. Riley was hating the fact of being at home most of the time while Xerxes worked at his new job. One that he didn't have to work, and it made her feel that she was a wife waiting on her husband to come home from the war or some shit.

Recently her pictures from the Vogue shoot had come out, and they blew up. Her work phone was blowing up, and everyone was asking for more pictures, interviews, and etc., which Riley was able to tell Cameron to try to take care of them.

She didn't want to tell the media that she was pregnant cause she didn't want people asking her more questions, plus she don't want anyone in her business.

Xerxes sighed as he walked through the halls of 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓 𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 to see his next patient. His headache was back, not as bad but enough to stop making him rub his temples before knocking on the patient's door and walking in.

"Hello, Mr. Smith. I'm Doctor Kohler. You came in because of a bite on your hand, which led to numbest and a fever. I'm correct?" Xerxes asked as he continued to read over the notes on the tablet. Then going over to the sink, washing and drying his hands before putting on some gloves.

"You look a little too young to be a doctor," Mr. Smith said, staring at Xerxes. "I am, but I ensure I graduated at the top of my class. You are in good hands, Mr. Smith. Now that bite."

"Oh yes. I went to sleep on my couch and woke up to my hand big as fu—sorry, I mean I woke up to my hand huge and not normal." Mr. Smith said as Xerxes nodded, sitting down on the stool in front of the man.

"Let me take a look."

'Shit.' Xerxes thought as he looked felt the swollen area of the bite. "When did this happen?" Xerxes asked the man.

"Between last night and this morning. I really don't know."

"Okay, so this is what we are going to do. I'm going to have one of my nurses come in here and draw some blood, then relieve some of this fluid off your hand. I can't say what bit you just yet. We know it was an insect, most likely a spider, but we will know more after your blood work comes back. I also want to keep you another day for observation." Xerxes explained to Mr. Smith as he sighed, nodding his head.

Xerxes nodded, getting up as he took off his gloves, throwing them over in the trash, and washing his hands again before leaving the room, stopping at the nurses' station before heading to the breakroom. It was lunchtime, and he left his at home. Sighing himself, he sat down at one of the tables, putting out his phone as he put in his AirPods calling Ri.

"Ri?"

"Hello, Dr. Kohler."

"Stop! Please, I've been hearing that shit all fucking day." He said, making her chuckled, which made him do the same.

"You're on lunch, I assume?" Riley asked. Xerxes rolled his eyes, asking himself why else would he be calling her.

"Yes, Baby. Why would I be calling you if I were working?"

"Fuck you." She said, and he chuckled. "But why aren't you eating?" She asked, making X rub his hand down his face. 'Cause my stupid ass forgot my lunch,' He said to himself.

"I forgot my lunch at the house, and I'm not about to eat this nasty ass hospital food." He said, and she chuckled again. Yeah, he rather starves before eating that shit that they were serving.
