It had been a week since Jack and Nikki had first kissed although nothing had happened since causing there be some awkwardness between the pair with their year eleven exams imminent the two decide to wait until their exams are over to discuss their feelings as they are both starting to show nerves and stress around the revision given.
Nikki had been off school for the whole week with Jack bringing her any extra homework or revision packs for her, she had been advised by the school to take some time off due to her recent suicide attempt which had randomly made its way around the school and literally everyone knew without Jack saying anything at all, but he was getting the questions from people in his year but he soon found out it was Ryan telling everyone about Nikki and over-exaggerating the situation which naturally leads to Jack fighting with his brother in the middle of the school corridor and Mrs. Fisher breaking them both up and telling Ryan off mostly for spreading rumors.

Nikki finally returns back to school on the day of their first exam, although she was apprehensive about coming back her friends Noami and Anita were happy to see her and asked no questions, there were looks and whispers from individuals in her year.
Waiting outside the exam hall Jack comes over to her and smiles happily at her, "You've got this, I believe in you," He smiles sneakily taking hold of her hand and squeezing it.

But her eagle-eyed friends notice the pair holding hands and giggle to each other, "Fiver, they're together," Noami mutters.
"You're on," Anita smiles shaking Naomi's hand.
Soon the science teachers out of a side corridor looking over the crowd of year elevens waiting for their exam, they talk the year group through a few things before getting down to classes and the order to go into the exam hall. "... Listen up! Miss Woodroe's set one triple science - Biology class, when I call your name out, you may enter the examination hall in complete silence. Find your table and sit down..." A teacher calls out.

Jack looks at Nikki smiling at her, she kept her pinky finger interlocked with Jack's as they wait for their names to be called. "... Oliver Adams... Nicola Alexander..."
Nikki smiles at Jack and heads into the examination hall as the names are continued to be called. "George Anderson... Emma Ashton... Jack Boyle... Rose Clark... John Gibson... Craig Hamilton... Stephanie Hernandez... Lana Hill... Jack Hodgson..."

Jack then follows on into the examination hall passing Nikki who is sat down messing with her pens, he finds his table and looks across at Nikki who coincidentally is on the same row as him. He gives her a faint smile and a nod before looking down at the examination paper.

Soon the hour and a half examination began which the pair found surprisingly easy until the last few questions which they both knew would spark some interesting conversations between the year group about what people were going to put.
The exam comes to an end both Jack and Nikki feeling happy that they have done all they can despite stressing over the final question, the year group up and leave the examination hall.

Jack is quick to pull Nikki aside as they leave the examination hall and pulls her down a quiet corridor, "Jack! I've got English revision classes now..." She smiles looking up at him feeling the butterflies pooling in her stomach as he gazes into her eyes. Despite kissing a week ago the pair hadn't kissed at all since "I was thinking..." He mutters.

"Sounds painful..." She smirks finding herself running her hand up and down his arm without thinking.
"I would... you know... I would really like to... actually no forgot I said anything," Jack responds awkwardly running his hand through his hair.

Nikki raises an eyebrow and watches him, "No tell me, Jack, what is it?" She giggles.
His heart felt as if it was going to jump out of his chest but the more Nikki stared at him the more he realized he wasn't going to get out of it anymore. "Do you want to go for something to eat after revision classes?" He asks quickly.

A grin appears on her face and she nods, "I would love that Jack," She smiles standing up straight onto her tiptoes and kissing him delicately on the cheek before walking off down the corridor rejoining her friends.
Jack takes a deep breath in and leans against the lockers for a moment, he knew he needed to ask Nikki to the prom soon or she would be snapped up but his heart still aches for Nikki he wanted to love her and have her all to himself without questions. He takes another breath in and moves on before he gets done by a teacher for loitering in the corridors.
