Chapter 16

*Colette's POV*
I looked at Gabi. She was laying there motionless. I couldn't imagine her dead. Too much had happened this week and I couldn't imagine losing one of my best friends. Her heart continued to beat, but she wasn't conscious.
"C'mon Gabi. Just open your eyes," Louis said as he held her dangling hand.
Suddenly, Liam walked in.
"Is she okay?" He asked.
"I dunno... I hope," Louis responded.
"Hey... um... can we talk? He stuttered.
"I honestly have nothing to say to yo-"
I got cut of by Louis screaming, "she's awake!"
I look over and see Gabi slowly opening her eyes.
"Gabi!" I squeal.
"Gabi... I missed you!" Louis exclaimed. He bent down and pressed his lips to Gabi's. We all stood there in shock. Louis stood up and his cheeks were flushed with pink. Gabi looked embarrassed, but I could tell she was ecstatic.
"I found them!" Kennedy panted as she ran in with Gabi's parents.
We all stood there awkwardly, while her mom and dad hugged her.
"Maybe we should leave them alone," Niall said.
"Hope to see you at home later," Kennedy called as we walked out.
"We can go back to our place," Harry suggested.
"Okay," Kennedy said grabbing his hand.
"Umm... I'm just gonna take the car back to the apartment," I said, "I have a paper to write anyways." I lied about the paper, but I didn't want to go to the cabin.
"Well, let me drive you back. You can't drive with a boot," Kennedy said.
"No it's okay, I drive with my right foot anyways," I said.
I climbed into the car and pulled out of the hospital lot.
About 15 minutes later, I got to our apartment. I grabbed the newspaper off of our welcome mat and saw a huge headline saying, Liam Payne's New Girlfriend. I unlocked the door and threw the newspaper on the couch. I went to my room, and the first thing I saw was a picture of Liam and me, the night of my accident. I ripped it into pieces and dropped them on the ground. I laid on my bed and cried. He had caused so much pain and chaos in only a few days, but deep down I knew I honestly loved him.
