Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that even though Zayn left the band (😭) , I am going to keep him in the story as a band member.

1 week later
*Liam's POV*
As we got on the plane, all I could think about was Colette. I couldn't wait to get back to Los Angeles to see her. I had a great time in New York, but I was beyond ready to go back for her birthday. We always say that we would date a fan in interviews, but Colette was so much more than a fan. She was a girl who cared about me.

We landed and grabbed our bags. As we stepped off the plane, a bunch girls started screaming and the paparazzi ran towards us flashing their cameras. Normally, I get annoyed by the paparazzi, but nothing could spoil my mood. I flashed a quick smile and then hopped into the car.

About 30 minutes later we arrived at the cabin. It was 4:37 pm. I had planned a surprise party for Colette at the cabin. I had less than two hours to decorate and get ready since I told Kennedy to bring her at 6. I went into my room and unpacked my bag, or basically just threw it in my closet. I threw on a solid black tee shirt and some light wash jeans. I went into the bathroom, grabbed some hair product, and ran my fingers through my hair, creating a quiff. I checked the time on my phone. It was 5:03. I had to start decorating.

*Colette's POV*
I walked out of my Veterinarian Science class, when suddenly I got a text from Kennedy.

"Hey. I'm out in the main lot. Got off of work early today so I thought I would pick you up."

"okay thanks," I responded.

I put my phone back into my backpack and walked out to the lot. Today was my 20th birthday. I hated surprises, and all I wanted to do was spend time with Liam. I saw Kennedy waving at me and I walked toward her car. She rolled down the window and yelled, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
Everyone near us started staring at me and I started laughing, embarrassed. I got into the car and Kennedy started dying laughing.
"Thanks," I said sarcastically.
"Hey, I have to run some errands," she said.
"Oh um... okay," I muttered.
"What's wrong?"
"Well I just wanted to spend time with Liam since it's his birthday," I explained.
"Oh okay. I won't take long."
I pulled out my biology textbook and started writing my essay.

About 20 minutes later, I looked up and realized we were in the boy's driveway.
"OH MY GOD!" I screamed with joy, "thank you, thank you, thank you!"
I jumped out of the car and hobbled towards the cabin.
"Whoa there," Liam said as he caught me.
I pulled him in tight for a hug and whispered, "I missed you."
"I missed you too," he replied.
He helped me up the front stairs and opened the door.
"SURPRISE!"
All the boys, Allison, and even Gabi ran out from behind the couch.
"Gabi! You're out of the hospital!"
"Yeah, you know I wouldn't miss your party!"
"Who planned all this?" I asked.
"I did," Liam said raising his hand.
I hugged him again and said, "thank you."
This was the beginning of the best birthday ever.
