Chapter 9

Zayn had been calling Allison for the past 15 minutes, but she wouldn't answer. We split up in two groups: boys and girls. I secretly wished we would be the group to find her. I knew she wasn't going to want to see Zayn.

The boys dropped us off at our place, so we could drive Kennedy's car. I put my crutches in the trunk and hobbled to the passenger seat. I watched out the window as Kennedy and Harry exchanged a quick kiss. They were so cute! Kennedy ran around and slid into the driver's seat. We took off and kept an eye out for Allison. We all stopped at Starbucks, since we knew we'd probably be out for a while. Gabi and Kennedy got a frapuccino and I got a white peppermint mocha. We got back in the car, and I looked at the small digital clock on the dashboard. It was 10:09 pm. I hoped that we would find Allison soon. It was December and she would freeze to death in just a dress.

*Allison's POV*
I couldn't process the thought. I thought Zayn was loyal. We had been dating forever.
I had no clue where I was. I just kept walking. It started to rain, and at first I thought it was just the blur of my tears. But then, I felt a strong downpour of freezing cold water. I felt the icy water trickle down my bare arms. I knew they were looking for me, but I didn't want to be found. I needed to be alone.

*Zayn's POV*
I don't know what I did. Whatever it was, I was miserably sorry.
We drove along the back roads, and the girls went the highway route. I hoped we found Allison. I needed to explain. Even though I had no reason why she was angry, I knew I could set it straight.

*Kennedy's POV*
No matter how fast my windshield wipers went, I couldn't see past the heavy downpour of rain. Poor Allison, she was out in the freezing rain. We had to find her soon. Suddenly I saw something in front of my car. It was a brown-haired girl wearing a yellow dress.
"ALLISON?!" I asked aloud.
SCREEECCCCHHHHH!
