Fate

Chapter 2

"Who's driving? I asked as Kennedy and I were getting ready for our night out.
"I will," she said, "grab my keys and we'll go."
I grabbed her keys and tossed them to her. She caught them, grabbed her wallet, and we headed out the door. We ran out to her car, trying to stay as dry as possible from the heavy rain. After we jumped into the car, I turned on our favorite radio station. Kennedy looked at me with a grin on her face and we both started singing, "I won't act my aggggeeeeee! No I won't act my agggeeeeeee!"
We continued to scream the lyrics until we pulled into the boutique where Gabi worked. We waved at Gabi through the glass windows of the shop as she put up her employee name badge. Gabi then raced out to the car, trying not to get soaked. As she slid into the backseat, Night Changes began to play on the radio. We all started singing dramatically. About 30 minutes later, we were downtown. It took us much longer than usual, because of concert traffic. We finally parked and got into the Salty Cafe. We sat down and ordered our usual. Kennedy got chicken fingers, Gabi got Mac and cheese, and I got chicken and rice. As we waited, we saw thousands of one direction fans from the window. They were screaming while waiting outside of the arena across the street. We all frowned when we saw them, wishing we could be them. We got our food, and while we ate, we talked about One Direction, college, and work. Then, I signed the check and we headed out. We ran through the rain, all of us squealing. Thunder started to strike, so we all ran under an awning of a building. I was kind of nervous because I had no clue where we were. It was about 8 o' clock and it was pitch black outside.
"Watch out!" Gabi shouted.
I saw a limo veering toward me, and I felt a hard impact. My leg was in excruciating pain. Everything turned black. I heard voices while I was laying on the cold street. That was all I remembered.
