SWEAT DRIPPED DOWN FROM THE SIDE of my face as I jogged to the door of the motel room I was staying at. My hand rested on the wall beside the door as I used my key card to gain access inside. I closed the door as soon as I entered, making sure no flies would find their way inside. My heart rate sped up and I was sweating. I had a habit of using exercise and working out as an escape while I had nobody to turn to with my internal fears of eternal torture being on my mind. Lily was a great little sister. There was so much I felt I could tell her, but when it came to my deal, I didn't want Lily involved. I picked up the habit because I felt I needed that same escape I needed all those months ago.

I picked up my right hand and allowed it to reach to the back of my neck. With a deep sigh, I lifted my arms up and pulled my sports bra over my head, allowing my naked breasts to feel the warm air. I made my way to the shower, knowing I desperately needed one after the jog I just had. I just finished a quick and simple demon hunt on my own. Dean, Sam, and Lily were a few states over taking care of a matter that needed more attention. Now, months after Lucifer's rise, it had become public knowledge to just about all angels and demons that I had been Lucifer's soulmate. With that understanding, I was the perfect hunter to take care of low-level demons, because they wouldn't dare hurt me―not that I was afraid they would. My fear for demons died when Sam and Lily killed Alistair, the only demon I feared in months.

I didn't take a long shower that night. I wrapped the towel tightly around my body before I stepped out of the bathroom, not paying my attention the the figure that laid on my bed. It wasn't until I heard the familiar voice call out, "You look precious like that, my little angel." I knew that nickname was one that only a specific archangel gave me during one of his untimely visits. Since Lucifer revealed to me that I was his soulmate, he had been making regular visits to me. As often as he has been visiting me, I still haven't completely gotten used to them. It makes me feel weird that he could just pop up whenever he chooses to because he always knows where I am due to our soulmate bond.
