THAT NIGHT WAS A NIGHTI attempted to keep secret for as long as I possibly could. It had been, in many ways, a moment of weakness. I found myself connected to the fallen archangel. There was a pull when I was around him―I could hardly explain it. It felt right. I never had to second guess myself when I was around him. Much like there was no judgement from me, there was no judgement from Lucifer. And although I haven't completely opened up to him, he was there, drilling a hole in the impenetrable wall I built. It was almost as if it was exactly what Lucifer said nearly four months earlier when we met for the first time. I wouldn't be able to resist him. We were fated in the stars. He was the one you knew better than to get involved with, but you can't help it because you see something redeemable in them. In the time that I had gotten to know Lucifer, I didn't think for a second that he was irredeemable, nor have I ever thought he was far too gone. I think a part of me will always believe that.
Although, despite my pull towards the archangel, when I was away from him I found myself with more composure. I knew whatever I felt was only because of our soulmate bond. And as much as I was a sucker for Lucifer, I knew I had no control over it. I couldn't fight it. I couldn't resist him. The next morning, after Lucifer's departure, I noticed I hadn't gotten any calls or texts from Lily or the Winchesters, which I found to be unusual, considering it was my birthday. I wasn't expecting a cake or anything, but I knew they would have sent me a text to at least wish me 'Happy Birthday.' I tracked their phones to a motel in Des Moines. While I drove two nights to find them, I arrived at quite a scare. Sam, Dean, and Lily, who all shared a motel room, were laying dead in bed. I was so shocked and in denial I didn't bother to comment on Sam and Lily laying in bed together when they finally awoke.
I heard the story of what happened while I was away as soon as we took off from the motel, making sure to take the bloody sheets along with us because I knew we were going to have more troubles with the law if we didn't. Nobody would know it was actually them that were shot and killed in their own motel room. Lily explained to me how when they died, they visited heaven. She explained that when you wake up in heaven, you are welcomed with some of your best memories. Cass was able to speak to them there, telling them they needed to find an angel named Joshua, who was rumored to have spoken to God. He told them that in order to get to the garden they needed to 'follow the road.' It was a very general instruction, but Lily revealed that as they did follow a road, they were transported into different memories. They spent a majority of the time that they were in heaven going through their best hits.
