AFTER THE DEAFENING NOISES STOPPED, BOBBY, Dean, and I all made it to Bobby's truck. I had no clue where we were going, but Bobby was driving. Only God knows what ridiculous plan Dean had this time. It was not until Dean hanged up on his brother that I knew exactly what it was. Dean had neglected to mention where we were going to his brother, which, in other terms, meant that he knew his brother would disapprove of his plan.
"Why the hell didn't you tell him?" Bobby asked Dean. It seemed to me that Dean was the more reckless one of the two, the one who just wanted things done no matter the cost. Sam seemed more moral; he always looked to do the right thing, and he tried his best to be careful and to avoid danger as much as he could. Dean's plan was reckless. I was sure he didn't think of the consequences before he decided it was what he thought needed to be done.
"Because he just tried to stop us," Dean stated, confirming my assumptions. And that was the confirmation I needed to know that it was, in fact, his plan to summon the thing that saved us from the pit. I sighed; I knew it had to be done, but the creature was strong―stronger than any creature we have ever faced, and he wants to bring it right to us with no protection of any sort. The plan was almost idiotic, but we needed to know these things because, to me, it seemed as if we were in the middle of an upcoming war, and we had no idea what we were facing.
"From what?" Bobby asked, not seeming to catch up as I did.
"Summoning this thing," Dean answered. Bobby looked at Dean with a shocked expression on his face when he confessed to the plan. He was taken back by how audacious and thoughtless it was. We had no idea what we were up against, no idea how to kill it, and no idea how to harm it. My fear rose as I understood that the odds were not exactly in our favor. "It's time we faced it head-on." Dean believed that it was the best way to get the information we needed, and as much as I agreed with him, the risk was far more significant than any we had ever faced before.
"You can't be serious!" Bobby exclaimed, voicing his opinion very clearly. Bobby was with Sam on this one. However, he was not about to let Dean and I go at this one alone.
