Pinkamena is a misunderstood, masochistic, psychotic sociopathic cannibal murderer (who fucking murdered my Dash)
It's more original when it's only the millionth time a character has been with those characteristics
But it's still a good base to start on
Cupcakes, however, is badly written. Sure, there is a bit of plot, a story that just jumps straight to the point and is very short that has popularity across the fandom is not a good story in my eyes.
