HEY LOOK AT THIS NOT AN OPINION HOLY SHIT
OK, I didn't want to create a whole new book for probably only this story I made, and I couldn't find another fitting book to put it in.
It is a Creepypasta story, after all.
I figured, since in the beginning I said I'd try to make my own interpretation of a story, I decided since this is my interpretation of a SONG in a STORY, I decided, HEY! It's fitting! So, I wrote this based off of what The Hunger Games: Mockingjay stated what their song, The Hanging Tree, truely meant. I included the lyrics for effect.
Enjoy, and maybe do a short opinion on this in the comments if I'm popular enough to have people who'd be willing to do that?

If we met up at midnight in the Hanging Tree♪"NO! NO! I'M INNOCENT! I'M NOT THE KILLER! YOU HAVE THE WRONG MAN!" the man yelled out to the two officers dragging him along the ground. The two officers remained silent as the man kept pleading innocence. The officers stopped, and the man looked up at the lone dead tree ahead. "No..." the man said as the two guards lifted him to his feet. "NO!" the man yelled out as he elbowed one guard and the other knocked him down. The other guard, nose bleeding, pulled the man back up by his hair. They tied a rope around his neck and hung it across the tree. The rope pulled the man up to where his feet doesn't touch the ground, and his vision blacked.

If we met up at midnight in the Hanging Tree♪With a frightened look in her eyes, she slammed the door and ran out the back door, the officer chasing after her. She ran through the trees, the slim trees of her property. She knew her husband was innocent, because she had killed the men. She ran, not caring where she was going, not looking back. She ran. She just ran. She occasionally banked left or right to try to shake the officer, but to no avail. And, up ahead, she saw the dreadful tree.

If we met up at midnight in the Hanging Tree♪The officer tackled her down. "ALRIGHT! I KILLED THE MEN! NOT MY HUSBAND!" the woman yelled out. The officer, realizing the situation, started dragging her to the tree. He grabbed the rope he carried by his side. He dragged the woman to the tree. He lifted the woman on her feet, and tied the rope around her neck, and hung it on the tree. Again, the rope prevented her feet from touching the ground. "Finally..." the woman whispered. "We're both free..." Her vision blacked out.
