As the clock almost hits 6pm I'm impatiently waiting on my little couch in the living room. It's Thursday, which means Mason and I will have our date today and to say I'm nervous is an understatement. Ever since our FaceTime call I haven't spoken to the boy which made me even more nervous than was necessary in my opinion. It's just the anxious feeling of letting him down, not looking pretty enough or making things awkward again that make me feel this way.
"You know you look stunning right?" Katarina Gavrilović, one of my good friends, remarks, snapping me out of my thoughts. She came back from touring Tuesday and ever since we've been stuck to one another, the both of us not leaving each other's side. She even helped me to get me ready for the date with Mason. I'd told the girl everything about the guy yesterday and seeing she was super excited it'd only make sense for her to help me prepare for the big night itself.
As I was about to answer the girl I get interrupted, my buzzer going off. I buzz Mason in, waiting for him to knock on my door.
"You'll smash it." Kata reassures me as I'm about to make my way to the door, the two of us sharing a hug. Katarina has been there for me ever since I've bumped into her in the restaurant, her performing there live on that day. Ever since we've gotten along and she's always there for me whenever she's needed, today not being an exception.
"Thank you, Kata." I give her a warm smile as the girl makes her way to the kitchen, probably pouring herself some vodka she'd brought along earlier, it being the girls' favourite drink.
I make my way to the door, opening it to be met with a well dressed Mason. Not overdressed, but neat enough for the occasion. As he lays eyes on my his jaw drops to the ground, figuratively, him surprised with my looks.
"Is it-"
"You're beautiful." He interrupts as he looks up and down on me for a last time, handing me the chocolate he was holding in his hands after, showing me a warm and genuine smile as he hands them over. The two of us share a short moment of eye contact, resulting in me blushing as I look away.
"Do you want to come in?" I ask as I make my way into the house again as I have to put the chocolate in the fridge, thinking I'd be nice to invite the boy into the house.
"I'm good." He smiles as he patiently waits at the door, me showing him one last smile before I turn around the corner, being met with a curious Kata as I enter my kitchen. I roll my eyes, opening the fridge to put the chocolate in.
"Is he-"
"Hot? Very." I answer her question, the girl squealing a bit at my answer.
"I told you." She brags as I roll my eyes at her again, her noticing it this time.
"I'll see you after your date!" She shouts as I make my way back to Mason, his facial expression being a confused one as a sudden voice is audible from inside the house.
"Don't worry, it's my friends Katarina." I reassure him as I close my apartment, him sticking his arm out in order for me to link mines with his. I do as pleased, him showing me a warm smile again as the two of us make our way down the apartment complex I lived in. As the two of us are on the bottom floor he opens the door of the complex. As I step outside a white, stunning limousine pulls up besides us, Mason, again, opening and holding the door for me. As I'm still stunned by the amount of effort that Mason did for the date I get in, not believing my eyes as a bottle of champagne and some glasses are already set up, then going along with a luxurious interior.
"Do you like it?" Mason asks as he sits next to me, him taking a hold of the champagne bottle next to him.
"I love it." I admit, a smile creeping on my face as his signature one makes its way in his face, the boy popping the bottle of champagne shortly after.
