"I never imagined the view would be this mind blowing." Zoë said as we're standing on top of the Eiffel Tower. Today is our last day in Paris and even though England is a country which has lots of gorgeous places to offer, I've never felt the same as I've done in Paris these last few days. Having Zoë by my side whilst exploring the city and it's amazing places made everything better, of course, but I never imagined that a getaway that I'd booked for her ended up being one I'd also enjoy.

Even though Zoë doesn't like expensive clothes, I'd imagined us walking in and out of every clothing store Paris had to offer to us. Instead, we did exactly what I wanted to and apparently Zoë wanted to too, sightseeing. I hate girls who go on a trip just to go shopping seeing they can do the exact same thing back in England, whilst visiting the Louvre or walking aside the Scene isn't something you can do every day, except for the people living here of course.

Our getaway was something I didn't know I needed until we arrived though. The Thursday we left was still kind of stressful, especially since I still had to go and visit a physio for my injury on my ankle from last match day against Brighton. I met the physio shortly after we'd arrived, but in the end everything worked out. The French television stations even reported the Chelsea game against Crystal Palace, which we'd won by four-nil. Nothing went wrong for the time being, and seeing there's not much left, I think it's safe to say that this getaway was one of the best ones to ever exist.

The day after our arrival, which was on a Friday, was the first day we actually did something in the city seeing we were too exhausted to do anything on Thursday. We'd had some breakfast in a small, cozy cafe alongside the Scene and got a lock to put on at the Port des Arts, the two of us locking our love alongside the many locks other people had already put on the bridge. After sealing our love at the Port des Arts we went and visited places like the Champs-Élysées, the Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe, to then end our day with visiting the Louvre. To say we were tired after was an understatement, but the day was one I'll never forget.

Saturday was the highlight of the weekend, it being the day I'd arranged us some tickets for Disneyland Paris. Zoë always talked about how she wanted to visit some time, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity whilst being in Paris with her. From helping Zoë with her anxiety for rollercoasters to meeting the Disney characters and taking countless pictures with them to eating candy flossed together and locking lips after way too many times. It truly was one of the, if not the most, beautiful day I've ever had.

Today was our day of departure, but seeing we'd leave in the evening I made sure we would be able to visit the Eiffel Tower today. After a sleep in the two of us had our breakfast around lunch time in the open fields near the tower. It was some sort of picknick seeing Zoë likes to have picknicks. I'd picked up all our needs for the picknick, such as a picknick blanket and basket with the foods, yesterday before we went to Disneyland, which was luckily much appreciated by Zoë.

As of now, we were standing at Paris' highest spot maybe. The view over the city is breathtaking and the beauty of the city really stands out to me only just now. Even though the amazing view should have my full attention, all I can look and think of is Zoë. We've had such a good time in Paris, from doing the most fun things to just chilling with one another, we did almost everything.

Today she's dressed as beautiful as she always is. She even isn't wearing any make-up, a state I like seeing her the most in. She knows I hate make-up, especially if it's very visible, so for her to be confident enough to step out like this is something I admire. She is someone I admire. Everything about her.

"What are you thinking about?" Zoë asks as she turns around and pulls we close whilst leaning against the edge. She's inches away from me and the urge to kiss her grows more and more within me. I couldn't blame myself, the woman herself is simply magnificent and outstanding.

"You, us, the fun time we've had together." I say whilst holding her close to me. Her back facing me against as I wrap my arms around her waist. I love standing like this with her, or even being around her. She's turned me into a whole another human being, in someone who fights and takes his chances, in someone who'll do anything for his loved ones. She's converted me into someone I dreamed of being maybe some months ago.

"Do you mean the sightseeing, or something else?" She asks. I can imagine the grin on her face after asking, something I couldn't blame her for.

"You know I liked everything about this trip Zoo, especially those moments." I state as I turn her around so she's facing me again. I give her a quick peck on the lips before grabbing the ring I'd bought for her whilst I was buying the picknick supplies. Even though Zoë doesn't like jewellery which are expensive, I couldn't resist myself from buying the matching rings I'd bought for her and me.

"This is for you." I say as I get the two rings out of my pocket.

"You've got this for me?" She asks with a surprised expression, me nodding in response. Without wanting she gives me a warm hug, making me almost drop the rings all the way down. I then put on the ring, it looking simply perfect whilst she was wearing it. After also putting mine on we get to the bottom of the tower again.

"Before we go, can we do one more thing whilst being here?" Zoë asks with a somewhat exciting tone in her voice. I nod my head hesitantly, getting pulled along by Zoë almost instantly to the place she wanted to visit.

"You know, you've picked a pretty good one Zoo." I say as we exit the tattoo parlour. Seeing I'd gotten both of us matching rings Zoë wanted to get something for the both of us too. Spontaneously we ended up at the tattoo parlour only some streets down the open fields near the Eiffel Tower, who tatted a lighthouse on the both of us. We both got the tattoo on our ankle, me tattooing the one which wasn't injured.

"I know, you've been my lighthouse ever since meeting you, you know? Some sort of guide, which has brought me here with you, in the most romantic city in the world." She smiles as she puts away her hands in her pockets. The deeper meaning to the tattoo really was one I didn't see coming. I never knew Zoë liked me from the start, let along think I'm her guide to whatever she thought she'd find.

"I'm very lucky to be able to call you my girlfriend, you know?" I ask whilst intertwining her fingers with mine, us holding hands as were getting back to the hotel to her our luggage, which we'd already packed yesterday.

"I'm very lucky to be able to call you my boyfriend, you know?" She copies, me making her face me now as we lock lips in the busy streets of Paris.

I really am a lucky guy.
