Now when Chief Arnook had told her that she would be treated as a guest, she knew that she wouldn't exactly be welcomed with open arms. That being said Kai still hoped that she would have some leeway on what she can do, and who she can be with. That was not the case in this situation.

"I can't believe Chief Arnook is not allowing me to have any weapons on me," Kai sighed as she took off a dagger from her waist. "I mean seriously you kill a few dozen people and suddenly you're deemed untrustworthy.."

"The nerve of some people.." Wes said sarcastically.


"Right! That's what I'm saying!"


A breathless laugh escaped his lips as he shook his head at her, even if she was genuinely annoyed she still managed to keep up with her humor. Despite having to relieve herself of her weapons for the past couple days, she still managed to find a new way to complain about it; something that Wes found slightly impressive.

"When you think about it, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I mean, I'm not allowed to have any of my weapons in the town, but yet I'm allowed to carry all my daggers and my sword when in the castle. Which not only houses the chief, but also the princess! If I really wanted to, which I don't by the way, I could take them out before you even noticed." Kai added.
