Cheering roared through the stadium, which was once again filled with men who have way too much time on their hands.

"We've got an exciting match for you today, everyone!" The announcer spoke with enthusiasm over the speakers. "First up is Gon, who managed to zip straight to this floor in no time at all!"

Gon's face was shown over the big screen, causing me to gulp from anxiousness. Killua was sitting right next to me, but he hadn't seemed as nervous like I was.

"His opponent will be Gido, who currently holds a respectable record of four wins and one loss!"

Gido rose onto the platform smoothly. He was the one wearing the red cloak and had a gas mask type device on his face. Truthfully, he didn't look scary at all. Just weird.

Gon and Gido started stretching from where they were at, which was very far from the other. This arena was much bigger and had more room for fighting.

Gido started randomly laughing like a maniac.

"Oh, man..." I mumbled, staring at Gon with my nerves wracking up.

"You nervous too?" Killua asked.

I glanced up and nodded. "Well of course I am. It doesn't seem like you are though."

He shook his head, denying the obligation. He spoke calmly, "I wanna believe he'll be okay, but truthfully I don't think any of us are ready to fight these people- who have all this experience."

I agreed completely. My match was going to be tomorrow, which I know I will lose to. Unlike Gon, I didn't want to rush straight into fighting, but I ended up signing papers with him to make the exact mistake he had done.

"Ugh, I'm so stupid!" I groaned, "if Gon gets seriously injured, I can't also become some charity case for you to have to take care of!"

"Y/N," Killua comforted, "let's believe in Gon, for now. Even if he does end up getting hurt then at least he'll had learned his lesson. And if you both do end up getting hurt, I don't care if I'd have to take care of you both."

I took a breath, nodding my head slowly. "Still, I don't wanna be a burden..." I breathed out.

"You won't," he said causing me to look up at him. He had been looking straight at Gon's match with- not scared, but confident eyes.

"You would never be a burden."

My eyes widened, a small rosiness held my cheeks. I stared at him, wondering what he was thinking in that moment.

"And... begin!" The referee yelled, making my eyes slowly move over to the match.

My mind still couldn't really wrap around what Killua said. I had always been a burden my whole life. To my aunt, who had to shelter me when no one else would. To Hisoka, who was basically forced to look after me when we were homeless. And finally, to Killua and Gon, who had looked after me this whole time.
