beomgyu wore his uniform and walked towards out of his room when he saw taehyun come out at the same time.

both of them turned away from each other, clearly avoiding each other. taehyun went back inside his room.

well, beomgyu was technically not avoiding taehyun. he was just trying to be proffessional because that's what his job is suppposed to be.

normally, if time permits, beomgyu would go to the kitchen and cook something but today he didn't.

his job was to be taehyun's bodyguard not his cook.

as for beomgyu, he decided he'd grab breakfast on the way to school and buy one for taehyun if he wanted.

if.

beomgyu was already dressed up and waited at the entrance for taehyun to clock. he repeatedly looked at his watch. he was tempted to barge into taehyun's room and ask to him get ready quickly but once again, resisted the urge to do so.

taehyun was his boss and he was simply the employee.
finally, after what seemed like a thousand years, taehyun came down the stairs, dressed up.

beomgyu looked at his watch. dammit, he didn't have time to buy breakfast.

wordlessly both of them entered the car where an eerie silence hung over. the driver looked at them awkwardly. he couldn't deal with this tense atmosphere.
beomgyu turned up the radio volume. ahh, it was one of favorite song of all ti--

"please lower the volume." said taehyun, looking out of the window.

beomgyu looked at taehyun and lowered the volume with a slight pout on his lips. taehyun had plugged his earphones in and it was obvious he could barely hear the song.

come on, who wouldn't want to listen to taehyun's songs?

the car ride finally came to an end with the both of them silently cursing each other inside their head.

------------------------------------------------------------taehyun was going to be honest. he thought if he managed to push beomgyu out of his small inner bubble, his life would be normal and he wouldn't end up feeling weird.
but turns out, with beomgyu fulfilling his role as an actual bodyguard, he felt kind of lonely.

taehyun shook his head. this was the problem. he told himself that he wouldn't get too used to beomgyu and that he would be perfectly fine alone but look what happened, he got way too used to beomgyu and now, he feels lonely without him.

taehyun lightly slapped his cheeks. it's for the good anyways. pushing beomgyu away, was for the good.

beomgyu was anyways temporary, so why should taehyun make a place for him in his heart only for it to be left empty?

taehyun watched as heeseung went and talked to beomgyu, smiling and clearly, clearly flirting.was beomgyu that dumb that he didn't know what heeseung's intentions were?
or....

beomgyu was probably interested in heeseung. yeah, made sense. heeseung was good-looking, kind and selfless. he and beomgyu would make an amazing pair.

"what are you thinking?" said a very familiar voice which worsened taehyun's mood.
"none of your business."

"you're so sour in the early morning."

"it's 11 in the morning, kai."
