"what the hell are you doing here?" asked yeonjun, looking at beomgyu in shock.
"shouldn't i be asking you that? what are you doing here?"
"this is my boyfriend's house, why can't i be here?"
beomgyu lifted an eyebrow. "well, he was my best friend before he became your boyfriend. so why can't i be here?"
"that's not even the problem. why are you here with your things? what about taehyun?" asked
yeonjun, eyeing beomgyu's things.
beomgyu looked away, his heart heavy. "i got fired."
"you what?"
"i said, i got fired."
"okay cool. no one cares. what about taehyun?"
"what do you mean? i got fired i've got nothing to do with him anymore."
yeonjun looked at beomgyu, his heart sinking. beomgyu was lying right? there was no way beomgyu just left taehyun like that. taehyun meant something special to beomgyu right?
"so what? taehyun...he needs you." said yeonjun.
"no. he doesn't. the ceo said my services were useless and now that i think about it, they were." said beomgyu.
yeonjun grabbed beomgyu's collar. "what the hell? so you're telling me all these months you spent with taehyun meant nothing to you."
beomgyu looked away. of course, those moments meant so much to him. but what's the point in clinging on to them? he and taehyun were never meant to be. taehyun, an internationally famous k-idol with thousands of fans and beomgyu, a person who barely manages to pay off his sick father's hospital bills. anyone could see the difference between the too.
"the months i spent with him were all part of work." said beomgyu, his voice emotionless.
yeonjun left beomgyu's collar in disbelief. "just work...? but taehyun...he, loves you beomgyu. how did you not realise that? taehyun, who always keeps his guard up, let you inside his tiny bubble and for you, it was all work?"
beomgyu scoffed. "loves me? i'm different from him. there's no way he could love me."
"then, do you love him?" asked yeonjun.
beomgyu blinked. yes, he did. but he wouldn't say it out loud.
"no. our relationship was purely proffesional." said beomgyu.
yeonjun looked at beomgyu, hatred written all over his face. without hesitating, he punched beomgyu in the face and then slumped down to the ground, his eyes welling up.
"this is all my fault. i should've never hired you. stupid stupid yeonjun."
beomgyu held his cheek in pain and looked at a crying yeonjun.
he deserved that. he knew that he deserved that.

kai looked around. the kitchen had some basic ingredients so it was possible for him to make something for lunch.
"is there anything you want eat?" asked kai, looking at a souleless taehyun.
taehyun rested his head on the table. "...i want to eat spagetthi."
kai looked at taehyun. "spagetthi? i guess i can make that for you."
kai searched around for the ingredients and started chopping up the vegetables when he heard taehyun mumble something.
"huh?" asked kai.
"i miss him. so much. it's not even been a day. but i miss him." mumbled taehyun.
kai looked outside the window. he had never seen taehyun like this before.
choi beomgyu, you fucked up big time.-------------------------------------------------------
soobin looked to his left. and then he looked to his right. the both of them looked like dejected puppies and boy, soobin was hella pissed at them.
"now, who's going to explain what's happening? i come back from the grocery store to see my best friend with a bruised cheek and boyfriend weeping on the ground." said soobin.
"he deserved it." said yeonjun.
"wait a minute. you punched him?" asked soobin, surprised.
"yeah he did. i deserved it though." said beomgyu.
"oh you do know that. that's great. now go back."
"i can't."
"why?"
"i just can't."
"THAT'S NOT A REASON, GODDAMIT."
soobin looked at them, concerned. "yeonjun, that's enough."
"WELL THEN. WHY AREN'T YOU WITH HIM? HUH?"
"I SAID SOME TERRIBLE THINGS. OF COURSE I CAN'T GO BACK." said yeonjun.
"WELL, I HAVE SOME OTHER RESPONSIBILITES. WHY THE FUCK SHOULD I BABYSIT SOME SENSITIVE BRAT?" yelled beomgyu. he gasped realising what he said.
"beomgyu!" said soobin, shocked by the words that came out of his best friends mouth. he had never heard beomgyu say such rude words.
yeonjun got up from where he was sitting. "fuck, this was all my fault. you're the worst. he loves you, can't you at least be considerate about it? have you ever seen his face when he talks about you? did you know that he used to drink despite being underage and didn't stop even though i told him too and after you came, he stopped. i hired you cause i knew he got bullied and harrassed at school and you did your job well. i had never seen him happier.
but if i had known that you were going to place him so high up in the clouds and then drop him, i would've never done this. never. i'm going to go check on him." said yeonjun, grabbing his coat to leave.
"yeonjun...he doesn't mea--" started soobin but yeonjun stopped him.
"please don't try to defend him. try placing yourself in taehyun's shoes and see. you'll understand what i'm trying to say."
"are you going to come back?" asked soobin, hopeful.
yeonjun cast a glance at beomgyu. "not when he's here. you can come over to my place but i doubt you'd leave him."
and yeonjun left without saying a good-bye.
yeonjun had a cold and unfamiliar aura around him and soobin didn't like it one bit.
why did he feel like everything was falling around slowly.
