the lie called "friends".

yeonjun had to admit. he was more than nervous. however, he had to act cool. yeah, yeonjun was cool and suave.

"the food is served." said beomgyu, with a smile placing the plates in front of the rather uninvited guests.

"it was supposed to be just me and beomgyu." mumbled taehyun under his breath but yeonjun heard it.

yeonjun looked at taehyun. honestly, it had been so long since the both of them talked or even hung out together. clearly, taehyun had changed a bit considering how he seemed to enjoy beomgyu's presence more and more as the time went by.

yeonjun has known taehyun since he was a trainee, the both of them clicked off really well because of the not-so big gap in age. however, there was still this wall around taehyun that yeonjun wasn't allowed inside. if yeonjun brought up topics of his family, taehyun would immediately raise the wall, completetly shutting yeonjun out.

taehyun also never shared his feelings with yeonjun. it was obvious to the older that taehyun thought his feelings were a burden to share, so clearly he didn't bother doing it. taehyun was also really unfriendly towards other people other than his fans.

yes, beomgyu was taehyun's fan but yeonjun could see that their relationship was clearly much more than that.

yeonjun mentally kept a note in his mind to free both his and taehyun's schedule to meet up but now he had a bigger concern.

soobin.

yeonjun found it hard to concentrate on the food with soobin beside him. his heart simply wouldn't calm the fuck down.

"are you not hungry?" asked soobin, looking at the untouched food on yeonjun's plate.

"uh not really."

soobin gave a sweet smile and said, "is it because you are two nervous to talk to me?"

yeonjun immediately looked away his cheeks flushed.

kai felt single. like there was a limit to the amount of flirting?? like he loved bulgogi, but he just couldn't enjoy it in peace with taehyun and beomgyu on one side and yeonjun and the guy called soobin on the other.

he should probably start dating too. 

"kai, are you in the same school as them?" asked soobin, giving kai a small smile.

"yeah" replied kai, smiling back. 

kai had to admit. beomgyu and soobin were pretty nice and fun people and so was yeonjun.

but taehyun....

despite knowing taehyun the longest, kai and taehyun had the worst relation. and the reason their relationship is so bad is because of a bunch of misunderstandings over the course of the years.

for example, kai insists on having taehyun model for their clothing brand because taehyun is really handsome and perfect for the brand but taehyun thinks that kai calls him only because he wants to annoy taehyun and give him more work.

such are the misunderstanding between them.

kai sighed. all he wanted a good relationship with taehyun.

taehyun was glad. kai left saying it was getting late and yeonjun and soobin also left saying they needed some time to talk.

taehyun had plopped down on the couch, tired. he looked at beomgyu who clearing up the dining table.

taehyun had probably never put much emphasis into this but beomgyu was really handsome. like, taehyun was 100% sure that if beomgyu wasn't clinging onto taehyun 24/7 he would've had a girlfriend already.

speaking of which, taehyun wondered if beomgyu liked him only because he was an idol. taehyun knew he was fan so he wondered if beomgyu liked taehyun only because he was fan of him.

"beomgyu..." said taehyun.

"yes?" replied beomgyu.

"do you like me only as an idol?" asked taehyun.

beomgyu looked a bit startled with the question but said, "i do but not only as an idol. i like you as a friend too. you're so much more than what you show on the tv and i'm glad i got this job."

taehyun merely smiled in return but the smile didn't reach his eyes.

something about being liked merely as a friend unsettled him.

it had become quite late when beomgyu was done cleaning. turns out that 5 people eating together had seemed quite a bit messy.

beomgyu watched towards the couch and crouched down next to taehyun who had fallen asleep. 

his face looked so serene in his sleep and beomgyu didn't feel like disturbing him so instead he brought a blanket and placed it over taehyun.

beomgyu looked at taehyun. whenever he was with taehyun, beomgyu felt happy. sure, there were times when they both of them wouldn't get along with each other but nonetheless beomgyu enjoyed every moment with taehyun.

taehyun was quite different from what beomgyu had pictured him to be. he was much more rude and often blurted out things without caring about the effect of the words. he also was clumsy but at the same time really stubborn.

but that just made taehyun all the more attractive for beomgyu. beomgyu knew that not every person was perfect but taehyun was still perfect for him. despite seeing whatever flaws he had, beomgyu still liked taehyun.

but the question that came was, how did he like taehyun?

beomgyu stared at taehyun. he suddenly had an overwhelming urge to kiss taehyun, who's face looked so peaceful while sleeping.

beomgyu backed away a bit, his heart not calming not.

he had lied to taehyun.

soobin didn't waste anytime and cut to the point, the moment the both of them stepped outside the house.

"so...? what was your reason of running away?" asked soobin, looking at yeonjun.

yeonjun looked away from soobin not answering.

"ahh, sorry. my bad. you must've felt pretty disgusted to be kissed by a guy, right? i completely forgot. let's just pretend this never happened and go back to being friends okay? anyways, i have to go now." said soobin.

it hurt. but he was going to have to leave this. why was soobin dumb enough to like a straight guy? honestly, that was the worst.

soobin sighed and was about to walk away when someone grabbed his hand.

"oi, you can't just leave like that. it--it's not fair." said yeonjun, looking at soobin's hand. "it takes time for me to understand you know. you're the first boy i ever liked and when you suddenly kissed me i got flustered. i'm sorry if i came off to you in the wrong way. but hey, i really do like you." said yeonjun.

soobin looked at yeonjun and in one instant, all his confidence dissipated. his face turned bright pink.

"y-you i-idiot." said soobin.

yeonjun pulled soobin closer and placed a quick kiss on his lips.

"asshole."
