"thank you so much." said beomgyu, bowing down.

"don't mention it but please don't play anything in loud volumes, we have a lot of senior citizens here." said the lady.

"don't worry about that. i'm going to live here with my dad and he's also pretty sensitive to sound."

"ahh, is that so? well then, i won't take much of your time. you'll probably have a lot to unpack."

beomgyu bowed down, thanking the lady, and then looked inside the apartment. it was significantly bigger than his old house, enough for two people to live in. the rent was also reasonable and because of the salary from beomgyu's previous job, he was pretty stable for the time being.

a shot of pain pierced his heart. thinking about taehyun hurt. beomgyu knew he was being cruel for simply leaving taehyun like that after spending months with him. even if there was nothing romantic between them, in terms of friendship as well, leaving him without speaking a word would be simply cruel.

but beomgyu was selfish and he knew that. he knew that the reason he didn't explain or talk to taehyun even once after leaving was that he knew he'd never be able to leave taehyun alone. it was best if he never saw him.

an alarm rang in his phone and beomgyu looked at it, puzzled. what alarm did he set? he picked up his phone and saw the alarm and his eyes widened with yet another pang in his chest. today was sunday, the day they aired the episodes for taehyun's reality show.

when beomgyu lived with taehyun, the both of them had made it a tradition to watch it together and it was such a fun time for both of them.

beomgyu shut off the alarm and kept his phone in the pocket.

he opened his suitcase and took out his laptop. why was he doing this? wasn't this going to cause him more pain? but beomgyu couldn't help himself. he wanted to see taehyun's face.

opening his laptop and connecting it to his phone's hotspot, beomgyu opened the tab where he'd get to watch the show.

beomgyu froze. this was the soobin's cafe episode. beomgyu thought they wouldn't air it because things started to fall down only after this episode. only after that stupid old dating rumor.

halfway through the episode, beomgyu shut down the laptop. it was too much for him. seeing himself and taehyun in the same frame, hurt. for a second, all he wanted to do was drop everything and run back to taehyun but he knew he couldn't do that.

he had his father to take care of, with the money he saved beomgyu could get him into a good, decent hospital.

and while his father got his treatment, beomgyu would have to find jobs at different places again and he'd had to work twice as hard as before.

beomgyu couldn't afford to slack off.

beomgyu had to forget taehyun.

kai looked at taehyun and then his phone. he didn't like this. he didn't want to leave taehyun all alone like this, especially not in this state but his mother simply wouldn't listen and insisted that kai should return home.

kai felt angry. he felt anger towards his parents, towards beomgyu, towards yeonjun, and towards taehyun's parents. how come none of them were there when he needed them the most? one of the top 3 kpop idols in korea was currently slipping into a state of depression and no one cared? taehyun's agency was not even bothering to send him to some sort of therapy even though his condition was getting worse day by day.
