It was a month after the award ceremony for the two wars on Olympus. Hermes passed through the Camp to make his deliveries as was his routine, when Chiron out of curiosity asked where Percy was.
Note: When Percy came back to Camp then vanished, his allies held a meeting to discuss on what to tell the campers in case they started asking questions. It was decided that he had gone to perform a special assignment for them that would take a lot of time. Hermes would be the one to deliver the message since Camp Olympus was within his domain as a messenger.
He did as he was told in hopes of throwing them off Percy's case, however, Lou Ellen pointedly told him that he was lying. She went on to say that it was Shayne Scarlet's fault that Percy left Camp.
That was when all hell broke loose.
Thalia and Jason Grace became a mixture of both Winds and Lightening.
Zoe Nightshade's body became rock-like, her strength multiplying to one thousand times that of a normal human while her eyes shone bright blue to reflect her Sea heritage from her mother's side, her mother being the Sea nymph Pleione.
Leo Valdez and Charles Bekendorf lit themselves on fire from head to toe extending to their weapons.
Rachel Dare and Will Solace were adorned in gold armour becoming miniature suns.
Nico and Bianca di Angelo donned black armour, exuding an aura of death. Nico eyes were rubies. For Bianca, her eyes were Onyx
Frank Zhang transformed himself into a centaur armed with bows and arrows
Reyna Ramirez, Hylia Ramirez, Clarisse la rue, and Phoebe Archer were all donned in red armour with drawn swords and glowed brightly to show their anger.
The worst of them was Reyna, considering her marriage to Percy(something the others did not know of).
Lou Ellen wore blue armor which became engulfed in purple flames, her eyes becoming that of a dragon and from her back sprouted dragon wings. Her normal teeth gave way to dragon teeth. Her skin gaining scales.
All in all making half human, half dragon.
To emphasize the gravity of the issue at hand, the skies went dark.
Soon they were all on him, dishing out blows from every direction till he was beaten to a pulp. It took the combined efforts of Hestia, Hera, Hecate, Demeter, Persephone, Artemis, Aphrodite, Athena, Iris, Amphitrite and Sally Jackson to pry them off of him.
From this, came the promise that was what calmed them eventually.
The male gods stood shocked and in awe of what was going on.
On that day they learned that their demi-god children could be as powerful as them, it was here they promised not to do anything to rash to provoke their kids.
When they toe to toe with Kronos and Gaia they did not show the amount of power they showed here. If they done that during the two wars and combined their powers together, surely Kronos and Gaia would have faded permanently.
Back To The Present
Artemis was only afraid of a few things, the experience of the demi-gods at what could have very well been their full potential was one of them. She did not want to experience that again and unless something happened to avert that, it could happen again owing to her hunters disobedience to her order.
She begged Chaos and Hestia to help her prevent the disaster that she saw stating her in the face, because assuredly the Campers would not relent at all, no, they would be vicious and unforgiving. They were coming, she could hear their foot steps thanks to her enhanced senses.
It looked like Artemis luck had finally run out, look at what all her man hating had caused her, she had lost the man she had come to love unconditionally.
She went to the edge of the Camp dejected, ready to accept her fate whatever it was.
That was when Hestia suggested that Artemis change to her Roman form of Diana, as it was considered an offense to attack a Roman and since there were Romans in the Camp, they would be forced to comply and not attack her so as not to taint their honor. Heeding the advice she shifted, unfortunately for them Diana is unaware of what went on in the Hunt concerning Percy's maltreatment by the hunters. So she was horrified to see the devastation of the Camp.
Note: She was present when Percy swore his oaths on Olympus, the extent shook her to her core causing her to shut down due to shock of it.
She was present when Percy joined the Hunt as she saw everything through Artemis eyes. This situation restored Diana since she was inside her domain. The Hunt was fine during those days so she shut herself away most of the time. Plus she did not want to confuse the younger generation of hunters on who was running the Hunt.
During the attack of the giants on the Camp, she aided Artemis by doubling her power. She also saw what Artemis did during the closing moments of the battle and she knew what she wanted to do with it.Diana's perspective
She was surprised that Artemis had switched places with her, they normally did that only when they were in Roman territory but since the Camps had been joined together, she was rarely needed except when talking to Romans.
If Artemis had suddenly switched places with her without notice, then it meant something was seriously wrong and why did she hear Romans as well as Greeks matching when they were not at war nor on a drill?
She would take the chance to find out what was going on.
She was shocked to find the Camp devastated. The middle aged hunters were catatonic muttering the word "Sorry" over and over.
The senior group of hunters alongside the younger ones were missing which was unusual because they never left Artemis side.
There was the distinct aura of Atlantean and Chaotic power around the Camp, thankfully Chaos had helped to repair the damage. What could have happened here?, she thought. But she did not have time to ponder over it, as the army reached the Camp.
Their weapons were drawn meaning that they were ready for war but they did not attack. They simply asked for Artemis to be handed over to them so that she could be tried for her crimes against Percy Achilles Jackson under the charge of crimes against humanity.
Artemis commit a crime?, that was totally unbelievable as the only thing they did was to punish vile men and women.
To get clarity on the matter, she turned to the others present there. Hestia tearfully explained to her how Percy was pranked by the middle aged group of hunters
From:
Being called insulting names
Being served spoilt food
Having his work tampered with
Being severely injured thanks to the hunters traps or animals sent after him
Waking up covered in mud
Waking up drenched in water
Waking up under water
Having his tent burned.
All because he was a man. As a result of this, the Older and younger generation of hunters had left and the gods decided to punish the offenders.
She tried to leave out the part where Percy fought Order, Oceanus, Porphyrion and Polybotes. However, Diana detected that she was being dodgy since she shared the domain of truth with brother Apollo.
So, Hestia went down memory lane again, this time telling her everything.
Diana sat completely still while she listened to Hestia's explanation, then she stood up. Fury burned in her silver eyes as she paced, why would they do this to Percy who had undoubtedly proved himself worthy of their respect?
Truth be told, she admired the man a little too much than was considered normal for a Roman, maybe you could say she was in love though she would never admit it. After all, Percy would not want two versions of the same person fighting over him.
Turning to the army, she said that she would punish Artemis herself for her deeds in a manner that was fitting.
Taking her word as an honorable Roman that she would see justice done, they left.
That phase complete, she uttered a special spell that drew her into their collective consciousness. There she imprisoned Artemis making her unable to do anything other than observe like she did. She had taken control.
Immediately, she told her stunned companions that while she was glad Percy was safe having done all that he did, she was going to have to correct Artemis mistakes before things degenerated further. She then disappeared but not before taking the vials Artemis had kept hidden.
Meanwhile, Hestia suddenly realized that Sally had not been told anything regarding the ongoing fiasco, she was pleased Poseidon had not said anything to Sally yet. If she framed this situation right, she could avert Sally's wrath. She just had to get to her before anyone else did.To spice things up, Diana added her own vial of blood to the mix, since she was going to enact Artemis plan why add a little drama and twist?
The truth was that, Diana knew of all Artemis attempts at prepping/psyching herself up to muster the courage to tell Percy how she felt and she was fed up with how long it was taking.
As she was in charge now, she would hasten the process while making sure that Percy woke up from his year long coma because Order could return any day and nobody could afford to be caught sleeping when the day came.
Her first stop to fulfill the plan was Hecate or Trivia's palace after all, Hecate and herself had no problems. She would stay in her Roman form in order not to draw Hecate's ire for Artemis ignorance.
Note: Diana had indeed fallen in love with Percy but because of his wishes of not having two versions of the same person vying for him and his secret dread of Artemis(even though he would not say so), she stayed quiet.
To sate the desire for him, she salvaged a clone of his from the fight against the giants, putting up a barrier so that Artemis did not notice anything out of place.
Lived quietly together until Artemis switched places with her.
