Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. As I stared at the clock waiting for the class to end. I heard no teachers voices. I heard no students whispering. I heard no pencils on paper. All I heard was the clock ticking away. Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. Time hasn't been this slow since gym class, when we had to do planks.
Eventually I was hearing a different sound than the ticking. I heard the bell ring. Oh how great a sound that was. An even better sound was Quin and Echo coming over to talk to me.
Sadly that sound ended to quickly, and the ticking started all over again.
Me staring at the clock started again too. All I wanted to do was go to Quin's house for the sleepover.
The ticking sound went through all my classes. Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.
Till there was no more ticking. There was a loud Bring.
That was the absolute best sound of the day for sure. I was so done with that ticking, that I started skipping. Ew. Did I just rhyme? Yea this is getting out of hand now.
I think all that ticking got to my head.
" Zoe. Did you just skip?" Quin teased. " Umm...yea. BUT it was for a good cause" I answered.
"I'm guessing I'm the good cause." Quin states as she flips her hair. " Don't push your luck." I joke.
" Ha, ha very funny. But you need to get going. Your bus leaves before mine." Quin states. " Oh yea. See ya soon." I reply as I start to run for my bus.
"And don't forget to bring the brownies." Quin teases.
" I won't." I reply. Then the ticking started all over again.
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock...
